I did the Beta for this game and it was one that I thought I would buy. Couple of interesting things to do but trying to figure them out was fun. Don't want to give too much away but I remember it being fun and holding my interest. I did the Beta for this at the same time as Vampire Saga and thought this was a much better game but everyone will have their own opinion and this is just my personal preference.

Good thing it is willing to give a lot of hints. Screen is small in Windowed mode, and as others have noted, objects appear tiny.

I cannot get the demo to open on my laptop. Twice I have downloaded it and I get the same access error when I try to open it. Any tips on how to get around this?

Did you also install the Alawar Game Box? I think it's optional but I use it and have never had a problem, even though it says it's a beta version. Did the game itself install OK? If the icon appears on your desktop and you get the error when you click it, uninstall the game from the Program menu before you download and reinstall. Also check your system to make sure you have enough space, RAM and up-to-date operating system and drivers. I'd tell you to contact Alawar but they aren't known for their customer support or responsiveness. Maybe the Game Gods are actually looking out for you by not letting you access the game
For what it's worth, I played the 60-minute demo and don't think I'll bother buying it. It seems to be a dumbed down rip off of "Treasures of Mystery Island" and the "Magic Encyclopedia " series. I loved those games but the objects in this game are either too easy to find or too small to see. If you use all your hints, you're stuck in a scene unless you can find the object or you have to start over.
UPDATE: No surprise here: I was confused! What I figured out was that you get hints until you need to do something to get that last piece. The Clue viewer is rather vague about what to do so if you get stuck and the Hint light doesn't come on, look at your inventory and see what you can do.

Combine the seeds with the bowl and use it on the toucan. He moves revealing the feather.
