I don't know whether I just have bad luck but I ran into weird glitches every step of the way in this game. The most annoying would be random black areas in the game. It was also very easy to miss key quest items and it wouldn't let you go back and get them. If you didn't go to certain areas or to talk to certain people at certain times you would miss key info. So, there would be points in the game when a character would say or do something seemingly out of the blue, and I would be like "Woah! Where did that come from!?"

Pros: Puzzles were fun, exploring the island and hotel, 4 possible endings

Cons: Constant backtracking, easy to skip important items or information, in order to move on you must to talk to everyone (sometimes twice) which leads to about half the game being nothing but watching characters interact with one another (and by "interact I mean "stand around talking"), main character doesn't seem to "react" to information gathered from said conversations, saving (often) can be a hassle (you have to go through a couple different menu options to reach the save game slots) and (my game) crashed constantly from beginning to end.

One point I have to bring up, is the mystery portion of the story. At some point, it's possible for the player to actually have the main character figure out who did it (possibly an easter egg) but the story never changes to reflect any new information you might have found out. Even if the player suspects someone, the game is so slow in "pointing the finger" that you might think the main character only exists as a sounding boarding for the game's script.

It didn't feel like a the game was actively trying to stop the murderer, and the player never really feels any true connection to the many deaths presented in the game. It's like watching a mystery movie, you see people die and can't do a thing about it.

The puzzles were decently challenging, and sometimes even fun to figure out, and the dialogue portion of the game is only really interesting the first time though - and even then, you need a lot of patience. Because in order to move forward in the game, or onto the "next chapter" you must talk to everyone, sometimes even twice. The characters aren't very interesting here, so any deaths that happen means that by next chapter, you only have one less person to talk to.

Not a game I would recommend getting, as there are plenty of other mystery-games out there with better plot advancement, characters and game play.

I mostly enjoyed the game. I liked the plot, characters, enviroment, and voice acting. There were 2 cons for me: 1- Towards the end, I had to wonder around so many areas to find my next hint. It could be a small item laying on the ground, in a place I've looked a million times before. The game map is large, with tons of places to search, so this got very annoying. 2- I had numerous items in my inventory when the game ended that I never needed. That is one of my pet peeves in adventure games. Other than that, decent game.

All I can say about this game is, meh...I got stuck in a lot of areas because for one, who knew I had to dig into some sugar 3-4 times to retrieve a hidden battery?? The people who died died for no reason at all. There's two endings. I didn't feel like going through the whole scenario again just to see a different ending. A lot of the props you were suppose to pick up didn't go with a lot of the story. I sometimes kept going back and forth from scene to scene only realizing I didn't have to do that. I felt like an idiot for doing so after the game was over. There were some tasks that you were able to click on but couldn't do anything with it like going through luggage, picking up a wine spritzer, picking up things in the storage room, etc. I don't mean to tell the game but if someone had explained this to me before I played it, I wouldn't have played it.

I love adventure games. And I love mystery novels. So what could be better than the Nancy Drew Adventure series and these Agatha Christie games. Not much! I would say 3.5 stars. 3, because the graphics of the people are not great (weird hair!). But the sea and weather is beautiful. Also, I don't think some of the puzzles were very logical. I needed to look up answers, because I didn't want to walk around for another 3 hours to find something. But 4/5 stars for 4+ endings!!

To tell the truth, I was not thrilled by this game (I played it on CD-Rom). in a week-end with a friend we cracked everything. I thought there was a lot of uneccesary walking and going to a place. But the graphisms were good and the atmosphere was really Agatha Christian (sorry for the neologism!)

I have this both on my computer as well as for my Nintendo Wii. The version for the computer is not as difficult as the version for the Wii. This is defintely not for young players because of the story line in the game. I can see some replay value in this game if you really enjoy these types of games. The Wii version I believe has more replay value that the computer version due to how the game play is much different since you have to use the Wii mote.
