Similar game to Microsoft Pandora's Box

Can somebody tell me if there is a puzzle game similar to "Pandora's Box"?

Goblin,

If you are referring to the old Microsoft game "Pandora's Box", I haven't seen anything else like this.  That's a shame because it is one of the most fun and challenging games I ever played.  My old version still seems to work ok on Vista, thank goodness.  I have played and replayed the game many times since I first got it way back when it first came out.  It has successfully migrated through several Windows versions.  A new and improved one with different puzzles would be great.  Maybe Microsoft or some other developer will read this post LOL and get the message.  Good luck to you and Happy New Year.

Thank you, Joanilee! Happy New Year to you, too!

Yes, I refer to Microsoft game "Pandora's Box". And it is one of the most original puzzle games. These new puzzle games can't be compared to "Pandora's Box".

I STILL play Pandora's Box...over and over again.  It's the best game I've ever seen, bar none  I'd give anything for a sequel.

Well, Joanilee and Ducle, still nothing. There's just HOGs, HOGs and more HOGs... And finding items from a list over and over... and over again! And in next game you search for the same items from a list over and over again... And there's no challenge and no original puzzles like in Microsoft Pandora's Box. But the funniest thing is when players say: "Wow! Awesome game!". It's a shame that there's no more games like Machinarium and Drawn: The Painted Tower. I hope Tearstone, Azada 3 and Drawn: Dark Flight will be out soon!

If you like Machinarium, you might also like Hamlet and Samorost 1 (free), 2 and 3. You're right about Pandora's Box - it's a one of a kind game that I, too, still play. It ROCKS. Just use the Search function, at the top of any GZ page.

You may also like ThinkX from JoWood Studios. Not quite like Pandora's Box, but I'm on my 3rd copy (looking for a no CD patch - there isn't one - because I keep wearing mine out. Someday, it will be out of print/out of stock, and won't be able to replace it.  LOL)

It's only available through Amazon, and I recently purchased a new copy (old ones wore out). It's Win95/98/ME compatible only;  just change the compatibility mode on the installer and game executable and it plays fine.

game info: JoWood's "ThinkX" Just click on the "Amazon" logo to go purchase (hopefully it's in stock).

There are only 6 things that I keep purchasing after the other ones wear out:

The Complete Shelock Holmes Stories (on my 6th set)

The Wall by Pink Floyd (on my 8th copy)

Pandora's Box (on my 4th copy)

ThinkX (on my 3rd copy)

complete Myst series (on my 3rd set)

complete Broken Sword series (on my 4th set)

There was a series of games in the 90s called Smart Games.  There were three main games (Smart Games Challenge 1, 2, and 3) and two spinoffs (Smart Games Word Puzzles and Smart Games StrataJams).  The games featured collections of different puzzles, each with numerous levels, similar to Pandora's Box.  They're excellent games, but you'd probably have to get them on ebay now.
