Big Fish Games/Gamehouse

I'm a member of both big fish and gamehouse. I've noticed that there are some games that are exclusive to one of these sites and other games that both sites get. Besides the games that big fish develops itself, does anybody know what determines which games they get? Are they each contracted with certain developers or what?

Thanks!

This is a really good question. Unfortunately I can't answer it, but I've been wondering the same thing!

I use bothe reflexive and gamehouse.  I have also noticed that they do not get all the games.  I think after BF has a game exclusively for a while they should release it to the other sites, just my opinion.

Well, I don't know the specifics.  But I do know that something happened back in 2006 (?) between BFG and RA, so now, if a game is put out by BFG you will not see it at RA, and vise versa.  RA also includes Gamehouse.  It's a shame really, because the "feud" or whatever it is, has caused gamers to cancel memberships at both sites.  I was a RA member for a long time, but switched to BF because I liked the selection better, the tech support is outstanding (RA's is awful), and the price is better.  Unfortunately though, you will sometimes miss out on a game unless willing to pay full price.  Keri

Sorry - RA is RealArcade.  Gamehouse is affiliated.

I belong to both Big Fish and Shockwave Unlimited. Shockwave gets most of the RA games, although sometimes a few weeks later. An annual subscription to Shockwave Unlimited is $60/year, so for an extra $5 a month I'm getting all the games. I belong to Bigfish because I like their exclusives and I don't like to wait for those.

Oh, if you're interested, this forum has a pretty active discussion topic on Shockwave with more details.

You right kkunaschk, I HATE this unfounded "feud" Yell

Co-operate is the best way to expand the market. So GROW UP please, Big Fishes, like Pussycat Dolls Tongue out

Have a nice day EVERYONE!!! Cool

Keri--I switched to BF for the same reasons.  It stinks the new Mortimer Beckett will not go to BF, but otherwise, I don't miss RA at all.  I'll buy the new Mortimer from them, though! LOL

Ditto both of you with RA and BF. The last couple of nights I've been playing Mortimer the First that I have through RA and logged into my RA games rather than going direct on the download. For some reason, going through the RA site, my saves didn't work and I had to start all over again after I was half way through from the previsous session. Big hardship I know, but thought it was odd.

Oh, and I'm not going to buy Mortie the Second from RA because I'm going to WIN MargieB's contest! Yes, yes I am!

I also left RA for BF about three years ago. The feud is that one of the "biggies" at BF left RA and started up BF and we all know how that went Smile
