Playfish's fifth Facebook game, Geo Challenge, is a fun trivia game that lets you show off your knowledge of countries, flags and cities and see how you rank against your friends and other players from around the world.
The presentation is similar to Word Challenge, another of Playfish's games, in that it boasts a similar colorful, cartoonish art style and assigns you a rank based on the score you're able to achieve (examples include Hotel Receptionist, Air Traffic Controller, Globe Trotter, Travel Writer and Geography Guru).
Each game is broken into three 1-minute rounds with a different challenge in each. In the first, you'll help the flight attendant sort travellers' luggage by matching the country name to its correct flag. Next, you'll be shown the shape of a country as it appears on a map and have to identify which one it is. Finally, you'll have to mark the locations of cities on a map of the world using pushpins.
The social aspect of the game comes into play once you've posted a high score. You can view your score on worldwide, countrywide and citywide leaderboards based on which Facebook networks you belong to. For example, since I belong to the Toronto network, I was able to see how my score stacked up against other players from the same city.
