Just In - Can You See What I See?

Game Article

By Erin Bell

Can You See What I See? has just launched on Big Fish Games. You guessed it - it's another hidden object game! This particular game has a bit of history though: the artwork in the scenes comes from the Can You See What I See? books by Walter Wick, who also photographed the classic I Spy book series. Click here to try the game and stay tuned for our review and strategy guide.

Stuck at "It still survives today, it helped T-Rex capture prey" - anybody figure it out? Thanks

Posted by: sue at March 15, 2008 12:38 PM

Played the demo - any game that makes me chuckle when you open the first level has got to be fun. I think it is. Very different HOG and I am addicted to HO games! Funny on the eyes, but thats probably the age, thank goodness for the zoom! Think its cute. Other HO games that lack good graphic details, and you know who you are, TCOMC, should take note of these graphics. Nice!

Posted by: Mary Ellen at March 15, 2008 01:23 PM

Loved, loved, LOVED this game! I sat and played it all the way through yesterday. I don't know what had me so hooked. I think part of it is the way the objects are hidden, in that they're NOT hidden. They're just hard to find in a pile of other similar stuff. The HO object games that "hide" a red apple on top of a red curtain drive me crazy. How would an apple stick to a curtain? Anyway, this was a great, if slightly frustrating, game. Oh, and the voice acting, the little there is, is pretty darned good (unlike the annoying mom in Escape the Museum).

Posted by: Ang at March 15, 2008 02:05 PM

Hi Sue,

The answer is the T-Rex Claw.
It is a single claw that is located in the middle bins, from left to right, it is the fourth bin.

I''m also stuck at "It still survives today, it helped T-Rex capture prey". Hope someone can help us.

Posted by: jane at March 15, 2008 03:16 PM

Enjoying this a lot - a little too short - but I'm totally stuck on what I think is the last board before the grand finale. Puzzle is "its hands are thin its face is round its noted for its ticking sound." I can see a watch, but I keep clicking it and that doesn't work. So it must be something else, I just can't find it! Help!

BTW on Trex - it's a claw, and it's somewhere kind of on the middle of the screen. I just randomly clicked till I got it...

Posted by: littlebee at March 15, 2008 04:09 PM

Stuck on "It was worth much more than ten, after Jesse signed it with his pen." Any thoughts?

Posted by: Heather at March 15, 2008 04:15 PM

The item you need for T-Rex is located among the buses, it looks like a Claw, if that helps anyone.
The wife just found it hehe.

Posted by: Cowlmaster at March 15, 2008 04:17 PM

Heather,

It's a $10 confederate bill. It is in the top left corner of the screen. On the big bear.

I LOVE this game but am stuck!
This became worth more then 10
When Jessie signed it with a pen

arghhhhhhhhh!

Posted by: michelle at March 15, 2008 05:23 PM

I like it! I didn't think I would since it looked a lot like "where's waldo" but it isn't easy and it is fun.

I don't like the part that if you stop before the level is completed you must do the entire level again but it is still fun.

Also, if finding the "man" only works the first time in a screen, he really should disappear after you find him. You lose time if you forget and click him again.

Still a great game.

Posted by: raylin at March 15, 2008 05:27 PM

I'm stuck on Level 7. It asks for three baseball bats but when I try to select the last one (the blue baseball player is holding it) it won't select. I've even used the hint to make sure I selecting it at exactly the right point.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Posted by: Spectrsassy at March 15, 2008 06:50 PM

Hey Spectrsassy,
I had a hard time with that too. Try to click the blue bat just a teensy bit to the left of the end. Actually not quite on the bat, but just barely next to it.
Hope this helps.

Posted by: rabbits at March 15, 2008 07:22 PM

Spectrsassy -- yes, I had that problem too. I think it was the one glitch in the entire game, but it was very frustrating. I just kept clicking until I got it.

Posted by: Ang at March 15, 2008 07:27 PM

Spectrsassy I think there may be a bug there because I had the same problem, so I let time run out and then the 2nd time I was able to get it.

BTW, found what I was looking for on the last level!

This was a lot of fun, but a bit too short. Much more challenging than I expected!

Posted by: littlebee at March 15, 2008 07:39 PM

I love this game. I think it is the way it is set upp which makes it different. Old fashioned. I had problems with that blue bat too. There is a riddle that has me stuck, " They're held in place by nose and ears and helps one eyes in later years" The only thing I can think of is drops, But I don't see any. Help please.

Posted by: lisa at March 15, 2008 11:43 PM

Lisa, You are looking for glasses...

Littlebee, I am stuck on the last riddle. It's not the watch but -- what is it please?

Posted by: PT at March 16, 2008 03:10 AM

I'm stuck on "on its back you'll find the stats of one who catches, throws and bats". I think I'm looking for a baseball card but can't seem to find it. Please help.

Posted by: jane at March 16, 2008 04:05 AM

I can't find the item for the riddle "its hands are small, its face is round, it's noted for it's ticking sound".

I know it's got to be a watch or a clock, there's a black clock face in the lower right quadrant, that's not it, & there's a jeweled watch in the lower left quadrant, thats not it either. I even clicked on anything that looked like a timer, nope.

So.. where's the hidden clock or watch or time keeper? anyone know?

Posted by: moonstream at March 16, 2008 07:04 AM

found it right after I posted, it is a watch, a closed POCKET WATCH, lower right quadrant upper right corner next to the little metal bowl holding other stuff, gold colored with scribed letters AB, you can just see the fob on the top

Posted by: moonstream at March 16, 2008 07:08 AM

PT - there is a pocket watch VERY well hidden. I believe it was in the lower right quadrant. Kind of gold in color. It's fairly large so particularly hard to find with everything else on top of it. Took me 3 times through to get it.
Good luck!

Posted by: littlebee at March 16, 2008 08:04 AM

Help does anyone know where the pocketbook is, i've searched and clicked on just about everything. pls helppppp

Posted by: Trentlass at March 16, 2008 09:15 AM

Can someone tell me where the glasses are in the riddle. I have been looking for them all morning and cannot find them. I see a card with a man wearing glasses, but I can't click it? Please help so I can move on?

Posted by: Barbara Silva at March 16, 2008 11:13 AM

Jane,

The baseball card is in the upper left corner.

Lisa,

The eyeglasses are folded so they are very hard to see. Zoom into the lower left side of the screen. It is on the side of the box that the red dice with three hearts are touching. You will also see close to it some cards that say "maid" and "butler in the vicinity. The glasses have black rims.

Trentlass,

What's the name of the puzzle you are stuck on?

Margie B

Posted by: Margie B at March 16, 2008 11:20 AM

I cannot find the 'glasses' and would appreciate any help. The pocketbook is a tiny purse.

Posted by: misszz at March 16, 2008 11:44 AM

Minted with the wrong date and in what is now a state. I am stuck on this one.

Posted by: misszz at March 16, 2008 12:56 PM

Trentlass,

In order to find the pocketbbok, zoom into the Lower right side of the screen. The tiny pocketbook is on the deck of cards that are furthest on top. You will see it on the card with the black club on it. Underneath the tiny $2.00 yellow sign.

Margie B

Posted by: Margie B at March 16, 2008 03:05 PM

If I recall correctly, the glasses are in the upper left quadrant near the bottom. You will only see the hinge and a part of the frame. If it isn't the upper left, then it is lower left, top of the quadrant.

"Minted on wrong date" is Upper right qudrant, far right, towards the bottom of the quadrant I think. It is a silver color and you only see the upper part of the coin.

Also, thanks to everyone that helped me!

Posted by: PT at March 16, 2008 03:26 PM

Viva BigFish ! They are and stay the best for HOG (after Madam Fate, one can understand they have a reputation to maintain). I try a game/week or so, but this one I buy ! I love the music (Peter and the Wolf), the visual quality is really great. Some screens are 'Oh my, I think my heart stopped here' - when I think people do this for living ! - the clues aren't (so far) too hard. I recommend this game for HOG fans !

Help! I am stuck on the "These things are worth more than ten since Jesse signed them with his pen... (or something like this) I have clicked on every item on the page and still nothing is right.

Posted by: Gabe at March 16, 2008 07:56 PM

I am trying to finish the t-rex riddle. I have clicked on that claw in the 4th bin from the left and is doing nothing! Nothing in the car/bun bin either. Any suggestions.

Does anyone know where the spoon is in the 9th riddle screen???

Posted by: Kathleen at March 16, 2008 10:38 PM

Misszz, you're looking for a spoon, but I can't find it either!!!! It's "to lift to sip or chew", so it HAS to be a spoon, right??

Posted by: Kathleen at March 16, 2008 10:48 PM

I couldn't find the Trex claw after almost 1/2 hour of looking, how sad. Oh well, I'm going to buy the game anyway, at least to find the claw. LOL

Posted by: Cindy at March 16, 2008 11:43 PM

I'm also stuck on "portrait of a future queen, carved when she was just sixteen". I'm assuming it's another coin, but I think I've tried them all and can't find it.

Posted by: Jen at March 17, 2008 12:25 AM

Ah ha, just when I post, I find it.
"portrait of a future queen, carved when she was just sixteen".

Upper right side, far right side.

Posted by: Jen at March 17, 2008 12:29 AM

the spoon is in the top right hand in the silver container is a silver spoon

Posted by: Naughty Angel at March 17, 2008 03:30 AM

Well I can't get past the first riddle and I find it difficult to be stuck where there is no way you can go on. Don't think I will buy this unless I can get past the first riddle before my hour runs out.

Posted by: Bobbie at March 17, 2008 05:23 AM

I played the demo, and I found that on many levels, I couldn't click on the little guy thats supposed to give you an extra hint. On one screen I couldn't, the next one I could... Frustrated me because it counted as a wrong click.
The only disadvantage I can see to this game is that it doesn't seem very long. If you play it again are the items you have to find any different?

Posted by: Carrie V. at March 17, 2008 05:30 AM

Jesse James signed a $10 bill. Upper left corner in front of white bear with bib.

Posted by: Lj at March 17, 2008 07:59 AM

Hi everybody, the answers to the riddles is located in a txt file "RareItems_clues" in the level folder of the game

Posted by: Claudia Souza at March 17, 2008 10:27 AM

How do you get to the jumble game? Can't find any answers anywhere!!

Posted by: ghostynj at March 17, 2008 10:38 AM

BOBBIE,

Here's the first riddle:
Riddle #1-"It could slip through a narrow slot, or shine bright in a rainbow pot"-(GOLD COIN) "Beagle" Upper right quarter, in the red and green robot.

GHOSTYNY,

The Jumble Jar game will be located on the lower right side of your main screen. That is the screen in which you choose the bins you want to play.

CARRIE V,

You can only click on Seymour one time. If you've alreaady clicked on him in one scene, he does not go away. Once you see him again in the same scene you will not be able to get him.

Also if you try to click on him once you've found the last item on the list you will not be able to do it either.

Margie B

Posted by: Margie B at March 17, 2008 11:48 AM

I agree there's a bug with the blue baseball bat--I tried clicking on it in both zoom and regular mode about 5 times and finally had to click just to the left of it to get it to accept. All the others worked OK.

The baseball card is an antique one, so it looks different than modern cards. More like a portrait drawing. Upper left quadrant as I recall.

I'm fine with Seymour staying and only getting the hint the first time, I just wish they'd made that more clear in the instructions.

The zoom also doesn't quite work--there are items right along the quadrant line that can't be clearly seen in any of the zooms. (One of the anchors is like this.) I eventually learned that if I couldn't find something with zooms I needed to go back to full size and look carefully along the quadrant lines, as it was probably there.

All in all, though, I really enjoyed this. The logical nature of the groupings was a refreshing change. It was fun to see a baseball bat button or a faucet drawn on a picture block, too!

Posted by: Robin at March 17, 2008 01:11 PM

On the T Rex claw, the "still survives today" means you are looking for a real fossil claw, not part of a toy. There are a couple of claws in the picture, but only one that appears real.

Posted by: Robin at March 17, 2008 01:45 PM

Ok I am at the very last mixed up word riddle, and the last two words before 07 have me stumped. Does anyone know what they are?

Posted by: Kelsey at March 17, 2008 05:27 PM

Best hidden object game ever!

Posted by: Semiramis at March 17, 2008 07:25 PM

Kelsey,

That's such a big spoiler I hesitate to put it here. So for people just scanning who don't want spoilers of that magnitude, I'm going to put it in code. This is the answer reversed and off by one letter (so instead of "cat" I would write "ubd").

s f c n v o z l d v m

Hope that helps!

Posted by: Robin at March 17, 2008 07:47 PM

I think the riddle is: the rare item is hidden behind lucky number 07

as for the jumble jar, you see it only when you're selecting which bin to play, it won't show up on any other screen or when you're in a bin.

I think you can play the jumble jar up to 6 times total.

Posted by: moonstream at March 17, 2008 07:57 PM

This "claw" thing is driving me crazy. I found it in the bin with the dinosaurs...but Click, click, click as I may........nothing. It has to be a bug. I even uninstalled the game and reinstalled it again. Still can NOT get it to accept clicking on it.

Posted by: Kathy at March 17, 2008 11:07 PM

Kathy,

It's not in the bin with the dinosaurs. It's in the 4th bin in the middle row.

Posted by: krista at March 22, 2008 07:01 AM

I just finished the game and really enjoyed it. Talk about a puzzle, it could be at times. Moonstream, you're right. The rare item is hidden behind lucky number 07, now try and find the lucky 7, that's a real trip. Now where do I go?

Posted by: Patsy j Grant at March 22, 2008 07:37 PM

Arghhh...a very cute game, but while playing the demo, I got to the fourth round only to find that my hints button stopped working. It clearly said that I had two hints remaining, but when I tried to find the third duck in the mini-cars scene and the parrot in the blocks scene, the game wouldn't let me use them! Wasted a lot of time on those sections...

o my goodness i can not get this riddle it says on the back it has ithe stats of one who catches throws and bats i can not get thqat one

Posted by: mary at March 23, 2008 03:33 PM

It is a baseball card. It is a pretty big one it is in the background. I can't tell you the exact position though. I believe it is a light green. It was a while ago that I found it. The player name is a play on the name Hornus Wagner

Posted by: lisa at March 23, 2008 06:53 PM

The hint thing happened to me also. But it only happened once so it must be a glitch. I never had that problem after that level.

Posted by: lisa at March 23, 2008 06:57 PM

i'm on riddle 9. i know its a spoon and its suppose to be silver and in the right side in the silver tray. i have looked and looked and cannot find it. what is it by. or a little more description please. would like to move on. thanks

Posted by: dee at March 25, 2008 10:49 PM

Stuck in same screens as Jen, have 3 hints but can't use them on third duck in car scene or parrot blocks. I was down to 1 hint then got 2 free ones in the jar mini game but they are locked up. Was it because I already tried hints on these screens? Not sure if I can skip those and go on with rest of the game.

I did find though that if I hit Pause the objects don't fade so the clock is stopped while I continue to search, then continue to another quadrant and Pause again. You do have to look in upper right first before Pausing as some objects will be covered up by that window. I'm really not interested in scores just playing myself, just want to find everything.

I read their Help and it said nothing about Hints not available. Maybe the 3 I got will be useable on the next level if I ever get unstuck.(?)

Posted by: puzzledone at March 27, 2008 08:06 PM

The 7 is a black and white domino at the end of the box of dominoes.

Posted by: Sharon at March 30, 2008 10:06 PM

If you have hints but the game won't let you use them, just exit the game and come back in and they will then be useable.
