Innovate 2007 winners announced

The winners of the Innovate 2007 game design contest, which took place during the Casual Connect Europe: East Conference in Kyiv, Ukraine last week, have been announced. More than 50 games were submitted from indie game developers and small studios for a chance to win cash prizes and help with publishing and distribution.

And the winners are...

First Place: Twinkle Toes Skating (Hanako Games, U.K.)
Second Place: PicnicPolice (Pretty Good Games, USA)
Third Place: Magic Circles (Nikolay Kuzmin, Russia)

Special Nomination Winners
Most Innovative: Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble!(Mousechief, USA)
Most Addictive: Magic Circles (Nikolay Kuzmin, Russia)
Best Character: Halloween Night: Pumpkin Match (EleFun Games, Russia)
Best Story Development: LexVenture (Warptag, Brazil)
Best Production Values: Cradle of Persia (Awem Studio, Belarus)

Other games that made the judges' shortlist were Flower Story (Meridian '93, Ukraine), Ringies (Mini IT, Russia), Crazy Space (Dot Red Games, U.K.), Stardrone (Orb Games, Ukraine), and Cell (A.S. Studio, Ukraine)

The full title of our game is: "Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble!"

It was pretty weird, winning a prize from half-way around the world. I wish I could have attended. The video of the conference looks pretty fun. Mousechief is honored to win, but we understand how a few typos could have sneaked in.
