EA2D was a studio within Electronic Arts that was focused on creating web and social-based games, including Dragon Age Legends on Facebook. Now the studio has been re-branded and will fall under the BioWare umbrella.

According to a report from Gamasutra, the studio will now be known as BioWare San Francisco. BioWare is an EA-owned developer best known for creating epic role-playing games for consoles and the PC, such as the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series.

In addition to its work on Legends, EA2D also worked on another Dragon Age spin-off as well, in the form of the browser-based RPG Dragon Age Journeys. Presumably, the studio will continue to develop web and social games aimed at complimenting existing BioWare franchises.

Upcoming games from BioWare include the much anticipated MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic and Mass Effect 3.
