It's an adventure game (think of it as a re-make of one of the most famous adventure games of all time). TellTale is creating the game in an episodic model, where they offer you a chapter at a time (similar to how Aveyond series is going to be moving forward.
Per the article, its about $7 an episode. This may seem expensive to some who are used to the $7 per game model if you are a member of a club. But, there is no obligation to pay for Club every month and developers have to make their money back on their development costs in some way. Developers are increasingly experimenting with various types of games and price offerings to figure out the best way to make a living while providing games at a good value to game players. It'll be interesting to see how this works.
At Gamezebo, we're going to continue to write and expose all types of casual games and pricing models. We're also writing a lot more about free Web games as well.
Long answer to a short question (I am long winded this morning
Hi Lauder, it's not a seek-and-find, it's a point-and-click adventure game. If you like games like The Tales of Bingwood, Emerald City Confidential, Legend of Crystal Valley, Simon the Sorcerer, Tex Murphy, Pahelika, and Kuros then you should give this one a try too.
