This answer is for George at Gogii Games about the Egypt Room. After you get the Date Scroll and have the Black Light in your inventory the Exit to that room opens in the upper left part of the room. Here is a link to a picture showing the Exit.
When I try to leave it tells me you can't leave yet. Like it does not recognise that I have the date scroll(it also still lists in in th eItems inventory as Blue) enen though I have it in my tools inventory.
Here’s what I can remember by looking at the picture. You put the Tut mask on the sphinx and get the yellow jar. You put the sail on the boat and get the red jar. You put the staff in the small hole in the floor and get the blue jar. You dust the shelf with the duster. Then you put the 4 jars with the colored stripes of yellow, green, blue and red on the dusted shelf. Then the area above the shelf sparkles and you play the puzzle to get the Date Scroll.
Are all 4 of your jars on the shelf like in the picture?
It sounds like a glitch. When that has happened to me in other games, usually the only solution is to start the game over as a new player. I would uninstall and reinstall the game and start over as a new player. You can reinstall and try to pick up the game at the same point with the same player and see if that clears it but it may not. So you may have to start again as a new player.
I have had that kind of glitch happen to me on several games that I played. Escape the Museum, Dream Chronicles 2, Natalie Brooks, Curse of the Pharaoh are the ones I can remember. It just happened once in the many times I played each game and when I started over as a new player the problem was solved.
The exact thing has happened to me. I have all my inventory, but the scroll is still blue, and I cannot leave the room like I am supposed to. Any suggestions?
I did what Lizzie sugegested had to start over, only to have it happen to me in the London level (4th rose) so I am stopping. Not going to play the same levels again for a 3rd time. Seems if you click on the object before the animation cycle finishes it does not accept your selection as inventory.
