Robot

I am in the room with the robot and have placed the pipes on the steam machine.  I have a robot leg, I think, two items with three things on them and some kind of plaque.  The stradegy guide says to set the knob to reverse but I don't know where the knob is or how the get the other arms and legs of the robot.  Really need some help.
