The Asian man is in the marketplace standing on the left hand side, I couldn't find him where Margie said he was in the walkthrough either and then found him at above location.

I also have no Asian man, in the marketplace or anywhere else in Egypt. It's strange comparing my scene to the posted scene in the tips & tricks.I just have an empty space. No Asian man, no ink. No ink, no constellation. And I'm stuck. Sounds like a bug to me.

I look in the market place everywhere in egypt I don't see him. On Margie's walkthrough he should be big and should not be able to miss him. I don't know what to do I can't finish and it's driving me crazy!

You have to put the matches in the fireplace, the scene will jump to Cairo and the Asian man will be there.  After the scene goes back to the lighthouse go to Cairo and give the Asian man the gold.  Hope that helps :)

Can't get the matches because I only have part of the code in Aswin the Cleopatra gave, it's not the complete code so I can't get the matches.

Ah yes, that does the trick. Put the matches in the central structure in the lighthouse. When it bursts into flame, I am taken to the Cairo market and the Asian man appears in front of my eyes.

I'd been walking around with the matches in my inventory without knowing what to do with them.

The Room with the portal has the rest of the code to do the Aswan puzzle, then he'll give you the last piece of the matches,  the rest of the code is above the portal on the wall.  Hope that helps. :)
