Did anyone else besides me think the ending to this amazing game was incredibly lame? It did NOT answer any of the questions, there was no resolution about what would happen to the other worlds, whether Eve would become Queen and all that, etc...And then Eve finds herself in this 'beautiful space in time' where her parents are normal and happy, and she accepts that? Has she already forgotten the damage her father caused, and how crazy he had become? What the heck? I don't get it, I just don't get it. I wanted some form of explanation, not some stupid cut scene at the end where "daughter embraces mom and dad in some sort of happy dream land and everything is perfect." The end. Please, enlighten me if you have a different take on this, because I would like to feel bet
Hi Greengirl02.... I quitted the game because I was a little disappointed about the way it ran... A little "wooden" like figures, at least nothing to do with humans.. always yawning while waiting what to do next.. Things picked up and don't know what to do with... Okay, sorry enough... it therefore didn't finish it... May be I'll give it another chance later on.....Happy gaming LOL
I think Evefound a time dimension where her father finally succeed to bring his wife backfrom the dead. but it doesn’t seem to be a happy ending at all.
It lookslike a good way to end the journey and setup things for the sequel. I thinkthere could be a Legend of Crystal Valley 2 where all the questions will be
answered.
Great post greengirl. I felt that the game did a great job of introducing backstory and building tension that seemed to be leading up to some sort of confrontation between Eve and her father, and I was disappointed when that confrontation never came.

I completely agree with the notion of a sequel; a sequel would be a good idea if they do intend to make one. It may resolve a few things (major understatement) that were not answered from the first. Perhaps Eve could go about and try to restore all the worlds/portals her father destroyed?
I was also thinking maybe the 'world' she finally ended up in was Heaven? There is the fact that her name happens to be Eve, and there was an earlier reference that she needed some sort of counterpart to be queen of the worlds. Not to mention that her father's name was "Isaac" and he had a brother. Sorry, can't help but remember my catholic school days of bible study. Either way, I'm tired of the religious symbolism. They've used it in numerous adventure games in some form or another.
The ending, like everything else in the game is designed to be misterious. It answers some questions, but not all, and it imposes new ones. Why does there always have to be a happy ending or everything explained.
Think of it like an X-Files episode, they impose a few interesting questions and don't give any anwsers, but it still rocks!
About the sequel: there will very likley be a sequel, we already have the entire story prepared and believe me, you won't be dissapointed ;)
I didn't expect a lot from the ending, because although I really enjoy these adventure type games, many of them don't have very satisfying ("acceptable") endings. (Although some do) However, I would have been much happier to see the words, "To Be Continued" at the last scene. That way you'd at least know you were at the end and not just witnessing another mini-film. Then you'd be all like, "Woah!!! I can't WAIT for the sequel!! Who designed this game? Where's their website??? Can I get on a mailing list??" etc., etc., heh heh... Instead, we are like, "Oh. Is that the end? Huh."
Anyway, thanks to Gamezebo, I now know there may be a sequel...uh.. so where is this designer's website...? <grin>

Opinions on the Ending? (Spoiler!)
