OK, I figured it out. It's not really the right name for it--you get the same number of crystals and you have the same goal for the level. What you get are fewer stones without crystals, so that there are more crystals on the board faster and it's easier to make the goal.
So it is useful, and in fact I think it's essential at the higher levels.
Robin your a genius I thought the same thing and didnt want more crystals to have to get rid of.I wouldn't buy that power but I will now!Now if you could only do something with the freezing up when making a power match the game would be perfect.Oh and get a better variety of power ups if you can-just kidding.Thanks

What does the "more crystals" bonus do?
I understand all the other powerups, but wouldn't "more crystals" make the game harder? Because you'd have to clear more in one turn? I'm confused...
