This game (a day before it is release at Big Fish! A first?) is available at no cost - full version - at most fun. As are a lot of other good games. This is all perfectly legal - just watch a few ads whilst you play. Anyhow I was just amazed it was there so soon - that and the reviews say much for the quality I suppose.
I don't know for sure, but I suspect National Geographic Channel is using the game to promote the television special of the same name, which will air later this month.
Thanks for the heads up. Herod's isn't a great HOG, but it's not horrible either, and free is a great price. I use Mostfun a lot. I've gotten some excellent, even current, games from there. I think they are the least intrusive ad-wise of the places that offer free games. Real Arcade I find the worst (frequent, loud ad interruptions that will pause if you try to do somethng else on the computer while they're playing), with iWin second (lots of ad interruptions, but you can usually do something else while it plays).
For me, the worst thing about the game is that as you get to stage 11 or 12 (of 20), the items on the find list start to repeat, so you get asked to find the exact same item in the exact same location 2 or 3 times. I think I had to find the Pearl in the bathhouse 3 times. Free is a good price, but as a HOG, Herod's is a very strange game.
I agree, Robin, the repetition is bad. I played for an hour for the RA evaluation. I also hated that the one room was so dark in the corners and ceiling, I couldn't see the items even after using the hint! I had to just click on the sparkles and trust the thing was there.
My take on the free sites: most fun is the ONLY one that doesn't put a whole lot of junk on your computer - ie, spyware and even potental viruses. I had iwin for a while and there were a lot of free games. However, when I did a deep cleaning of my drive it had loaded so much spyware I just got rid of it and will NEVER go the site again! And speaking of free, there are at least 2 very good free spyware and virus programs I use that found this stuff. I am not sure if I am allowed to mention them here. So far most fun has never put any surprises on my drive.
Can you tell me if this is the site Mostfun.com? Everytime I see a post on this site saying that a game is there and I check I've never found it. Just the same games that have been there for quite awhile. Maybe I'm missing a link on their site that mentions new games?
Thank you for the free game information, I totally agree with you about the spyware from iWin, I downloaded two games from them and got a "Ton" of stuff in my PC, it just does not go away.
I am now using a virus program start with a A, I don't know if it is good enough for my computer.
