Can anyone tell me how to get the gold on this one? I'm 2 seconds off every time! It's the one where you need 5 dough and 500 dollars, you start with one chicken and a dog -- Thanks!
This one has a trick to it. The following is from the walkthrough (to be posted later):
Chicken Lane 1
Time goal:Gold:1:40Silver: 2:40
$ goal:0
Products goal:4dough
Coins earned:50,+100 gold, +50 silver
Start with:1free goat. Option to buy egg powder machine for $1,50 and dough machine for$200.
Bear Attacks:There will be many bear attacks. You want to sell them two at a time.
Strategy:Because the time is so short here, it turns out the easiest way to goldis to buy ready-made egg powder from the city and just put it in a doughmachine. It’s quite easy to get gold once you have the right strategy.
Immediately sell the goat.
Plant 5 patches of grass spread out.
2 brown bears will attack. Warehouse them.
As soon as the truck returns, sell the 2 bears.
Send the airplane to buy 3 egg powder bags and 3 flour sacks ($270 total).
Buy the dough machine (not the egg powder machine) ($200).
As soon as the plane arrives, start the dough machine.
Send the plane back for 1 flour sack and 1 egg powder ($90)
More bears will attack. Warehouse two.
As soon as the truck returns, sell the two bears to make room in the warehouse..
Upgrade the dough machine ($300).
You will now make 2 batches of dough pots, and make gold with time to spare.

Robin those are the goals for Chicken Lane 5 on my game....I need Chicken Lane 1. As I said before you need 5 dough and 500 dollars and start with a dog and a chicken.

Catch the first 2 bears and sell them right away. Then buy 5 flours and 3 eggs. When the next bear comes sell it with the chicken after you get the 2nd egg from the chicken. Catch the next bear and sell it when you have 4 dough's and you will have exactly enough money. Also click on the factories to go faster but don't let them explode.

michelha, as you've noticed, since you were only missing by a few seconds this is one of those levels where you have to click the factory to make it produce the dough faster. That will be enough to pick up the few seconds you were missing.

On most levels, you don't have time to click the factory because you're too busy clicking to water and pick up products. But this is one of the ones where you, the player, have a lot of wait time for other things to happen. So it's perfect for getting the factory to go a little faster. Good luck!
Here's the full walkthrough for the level. It's the same strategy that Nacho gave, just with the complete details. Note that initially you click the egg machine so it will produce faster and you can feed egg powder to the dough machine 2 at a time. But at the end you have to click the dough machine so it will 3 & 4 dough pair faster and you can sell the 4 dough and the last bear.
Bear Attacks:There will be many bear attacks. You want to warehouse and sell them in the patterns given below..
Strategy:You the player have to spend a lot of time waiting on this level because everything is on its lowest or almost lowest upgrade level. So you will want to spend some time clicking the egg powder machine and dough machine to make them produce faster. Otherwise it’s a very straightforward level, except that you have to buy a few eggs from the city in order to make gold.
Plant 5 patches of grass spread out.This will be the only water you will use for the entire level.
2 bears will attack. Sell them immediately.
Collect the first egg from the chicken and click the egg powder factory to produce faster. Do the same with the second egg if the truck has not returned yet.
A bear will attack. Warehouse it.
As soon as the truck returns ($120), send the plane for 3 eggs ($60) and 5 flours ($50).
As soon as you have the 2nd egg from the chicken, sell the chicken and the bear ($110 total).
Catch the items as they fall. From now on, keep the egg powder machine going quickly and keep the dough machine going two at a time.
Another bear will attack. Warehouse it.
You will need to click the dough machine on the 3&4 dough pair to finish sooner.
As soon as you have 4 dough, sell the 4 dough ($4*80= 320) and the bear ($60).
Continue to warehouse any bears so they don't damage the machine before you finish the 5th dough.
Click the egg powder machine and then the dough machine to finish.
When the truck returns ($380), you will make goal.
This will make gold by a second or two.
If you click the well by accident, you won’t make goal, so be careful where you click when you’re catching bears.
My own time on the level was 2:05 and I'm not a fast clicker. It's just a matter of getting everything done at the right point so the next step can start.
