We apologize for the confusion. The site was originally designed to only have a button for a free download. Joel is working on getting that situation fixed. In the meantime, you can find a free download by clicking here. The demo is from another company.
Hi Wannerk, I think you're confusing "demo" and "download." All the games we review on the site are downloads, but not all of them have free demos. Some, especially older large-file games that were previously sold on CD-ROM, have to be purchased before you can download them. Our button doesn't say "Download the free demo," it says "Download for PC" - whether there's a demo or not is up to the portal selling the game. All we're doing is showing you where you can get a copy of the game if you want it. Hope this helps to clear up what the button is for.
FYI, the first thing said about this by Gamezebo is "A new large file adventure game..." That should be a clue that there is no demo. Please don't bash Gamezebo - they do a great job especially considering that a lot of these tips about new games come from users, not staff. Their job is to get us info about a new game as soon as its out, not tell us every detail in advance.

Well, to be fair, not everyone understands that it's Big Fish that does this with big filed games, not Gamezebo. ( And yes it did say Download. )
I just don't buy games I can't play first. Got burned a couple of times and now I simply move on. (As in didn't like the game). Makes life simpler for me.
Margie and erin and the rest do a great job here, and I have no complaints at all. Thanks so much to all of them.
A BIG thanks to Margie B, Erin, Joel, Vicki_S & Sue E. How could/would anyone bash GZ? Move on if you choose not to understand who puts out these games. GZ and their peepz are the most thoughtful and helpful I have ever seen in game forums. BFB ((And where is your apology to GZ and their peepz?)
Thanks everyone for the kinds words (we appreciate it) and no need for any apologies from anyone. I do understand the frustration of being confused by the language and it's good to get feedback, both good and not good. As I always say, anyone can feel free to contact me directly with any feedback, suggestions, etc. I really do take it to heart.
We do specifically use the terms "Download for PC," "Download for Mac," "Download this Game" without any reference to a free trial. But, when we last designed the site, we did not anticipate the amount of Download & Purchase Large File games that would be released on developer and publisher game sites.
It should be noted that when I originally launched Gamezebo (2.5 years ago), the button said "Download a Free Trial." So, we did anticipate the change a bit. As Margie mentioned, I'm looking into ways to make this even more clear in the future, as we anticipate even more large file downloads that do not allow a free trial to be coming out.
