I played for the free hour but I haven't bought it. The last two games I purchased from BigFish were too short so I'm leery of buying this one till I see the review.
I started playing it yesterday, and like it very much. However, it does seem to have areas where once you go in you can't get out and you wind up in a continuous loop, from which there seems to be no escape. Specifically, there is a part of the game where you have to make your way through a series of corridors that are basically a maze. If you make a wrong turn it takes you back to where you started and you have to try again. Well after about 20 trips to the same spot I opted for the walkthrough to get me past this point. I followed the walkthrough exactly, checked it at least 6 times, and got nowhere. It took me through about 75% of this maze and then the last step before getting out lands me back where I started. Either the walkthrough is incorrect, or there's a glich of some kind. Very frustrating. This is not a hidden object game, but rather mystery/adventure. The game itself is very challenging, not one you can finish in hours or a day, unless you're super-gamer lol, but it does have it's problems. Hopefully someone will put up another walkthrough, so that I can compare them and see if they have the same answer.
Thank you Gail and Ravenswing for your opinions. I don't like mazes so this might put me off this one. I like the adventure/mystery games. Kudos to both of you.
Well don't let that put you off, it's a very, very small portion of the game. For the most part you're searching through the rooms of a deserted hotel looking for clues to the disappearance of some teens. It's just that in this section the ghosts are in control and they keep changing the hallways to mix you up. Other than that it's a pretty good "think your way through it" type game. Definitely not short, or easily solved.
Humm? Looks like my last post got lost. I solved the problem, the walkthrough at BFG is incorrect. It was missing a step. Found the right combo at Gameboomers, and notifiyed BFG, they say they will make the correction.
I like a challenge, - I want a challenge. My login is no misnomer. But - challenge does not translate as "nonsensical".
I cannot understand the thinking behind the hallway maze - how does 2 arrows pointing up, followed by one arrow pointing right translate to 2 forward, one right, 3 forward, one right, then six forward?!
I am not always logical - I have been known to dial 1300reverse and be literal about it - 1,3,0,0, 7,7,7 (to get the R), 3,3 (to get the E), 8,8,8 (need a V) etc...ended up with a phone number that was 23 numbers long! And I have done that more than once.
But - that maze is just stupid. How does one arrow become 3 steps? Where in the game does it help you to work that out?
cheers
