Anybody who give this game more than one star should really consider their life! I for one fell in love with hidden object games back in 2000. I thought finding object after object in different rooms was just unbelievably fun. No other game could compare to this kind of game. Throughout my years of playing HOGS I've began to realize that the tediousness of these hidden object games are starting to truly annoy me. This game is no exception. I became easily bored after finishing the first two rooms. I swear I went back to 2000! The objects are so hard to find in some areas that it made me truly angry. Not to mention the fact that what I thought was the item wasn't and to have my avatar tell me to either be careful or that's not what I'm looking for all the time really turned me off. I glanced at the tips and tricks just to confirm what I already knew and I was right. All you do is search for items and then place the 'important clue items' in order for the lab tech to tell you what she thinks and that's basically about it. There's no brain power to this game none whatsoever and that's the kind of games I now look for. Games like this with no brain stimulants at all will only be used for me whenever I need something to help me sleep.

This game is both frustrating and ingenious, and where the balance lies will depend on the temperement of the player. I usually play in relaxed mode; anyone who plays against the timer will probably have a lot of nail-biting moments. Some objects are obvious, a few though are difficult to recognise even with the use of a hint. And speaking of hints, use them only if you're desperate - they take a long, long time to reload. The first part of the game was a bit tedious - hunting through the usual clutttered scenes for a strange assortment of items, and no clear idea of why you're being asked for them. Later on you start to use tools to help you find concealed items; not difficult, but you need to be methodical in trying all cabinet doors and drawers. You have to "find a way to turn off the light" to use the ultra-violet. Again not difficult, as the light switch has been blinking at you ever since the game started. It's only once you get to the evidence room that the significant items become apparent. Here the game scores by being a bit different to the usual in that you have to analyse your finds and then (every 2 chapters) go to court to defend your client. That bit was enjoyable - unless you get your evidence wrong and the stern judge sends you back to the evidence room. Good length, and the list of items to find is generated randomly. The court scenes will vary depending on the evidence you've collected, so replay value should be high. Graphics are nothing out of the ordinary, but well enough done that they don't detract.
