The unusual play mechanics soound a lot like StoneLoops, by Codeminion. In StoneLoops you basically hook balls out of the chain rather than blast them. I wonder if someone copied someone...
I don't know when StoneLoops came out, but Camelia's Locket is a sequel to Cannon Blast, which I believe came out a few years ago. It's the only Zuma-type game I've ever finished, as I usually find them too difficult.

Thanks for mentioning "Cannon Blast!" -- I was trying to remember which older game that I had from RealArcade this game is a sequel to. I had lots of fun with that game. Actually I think that "StoneLoops" is tougher on some levels, and really not nearly as fun as these games.
