The Azada 2 Hint System: Do You Know Which Pages to Work on?

For some reason, the Azada 2 Hint System doesn't really get explained in the game, so a lot of people spend time on pages they don't have to. Just in case you haven't found it yet, here are those basic instructions.

On each page, look in the lower right hand corner. You will see a picture of Titus in a circle with other tiny little circles ("orbs") next to it. This is the hint system for the game.

The picture will either be just a picture of Titus, or the words "Page Completed" printed over a faded picture of him. If it says "Page Completed," you're done with that page.

If it doesn't say "Page Completed," you can click on Titus to get more help with the page. Now one of two things will happen.

I need to "earn" a hint. I'm in the Invisible Man book, and cannot solve the maze puzzle. (I can see where the ball has to go, but, due to a physical condition, can't control the mouse well emough to flip it in.) I have no hints, or lighted orbs. In the lower right-hand corner, it only offers to give me instructions for the puzzle. How can I get a hint, so I can bypass this puzzle and get on with the game? (The game rocks, by the way!)

Hints – Hints are given at the beginning of each book. You get two in Relaxed mode and five in Adventure/Timed mode. If you are playing in Relaxed mode there is a Reset button in the bottom center of the screen. If you are playing in Adventure/Timed mode there is a Timer in that spot. In Relaxed mode you can Reset the book and start that book over. In the Timed mode you have to let the book’s time run out. Your Hints are restored when you start the book over but your Orbs are not.

The Machine game where you investigate the Suspect Cards can be skipped by forfeiting one hint from your next book. I believe this is the only Mini-Game that can be skipped by using a Hint.

Orbs - The Orbs are given as you advance in the story. The story progresses after you complete the number of books that are in that story section. The number of book in a story section ranges from one to five, or six when you count the bonus book. The only way to get another Orb is to complete the books in that section and advance in the story. Using an Orb is the only way to skip a Mini-Game that is within a book.

Just Zoe,
If you cannot complete a Mini-Game within a puzzle then, I believe that you have to start the game over from the beginning and remember to save an Orb for that Mini-Game. I don’t believe that there is a way to earn Orbs other than to advance in the story.

A suggestion to the game developers – Perhaps you could add a feature to this game or to future games where you could earn Orbs by replaying unlocked Mini-Games. Perhaps if you played five or ten of your unlocked Mini-Games you could earn points and when you get five or ten points you would earn an extra Orb. That way if you get totally stuck on a Mini-Game in the last stages of the game you wouldn’t have to start the whole game over.

If the game developers or anyone knows of a way for Just Zoe to get past the Mini-Game that she is not able to do, please let us know. Thanks.

Robin, I figured the same thing out, too. It became incredibly helpful because it narrowed down exactly which page I needed to work on. Things went much faster after that point.

Zoe,
I wish I knew of another way to get past that puzzle. It is very frustrating to get stuck and not have an Orb. I was in timed mode and all the way to the end in the Genie book and I had saved one Orb for the Maze in that game and I used it. Then I got a really hard Freezer pipes puzzle and ran out of time. So when the game restarted I had no Orbs left because they don’t come back when a book is reset or timed out. I had to replay that book several times before I made it through both of those difficult puzzles. But I learned my lesson to save two Orbs for that book.

Oh well, the game is fun and I have played through it eight times, I think. So by now I know which games are the hardest for me and where I want to use the Orbs.
