HELP!!!!! i HAVE TRIED MATCHING THE PATTERN FROM THE SIDE OF THE wall where the statue i found the three symbols and then found the column where you are to match them i did but it still won't let me get this right, does anyone know how you are to get the symbols correctly entered and yes i was able to change them on the column but when i hit close they go back to original signs, does anyone have a clue as to what i need to do?????????????
Which location are you in? (There are a lot of columns and symbols in this game!)
If you are in the first Pompeii location where there is an oven, and you are talking about the symbols on the square on the righthand side of the darkened arch, and the 6 symbols that go up over the arch, then the sequence is this:
First, brush off the square on the inner wall with the paintbrush. Then use the pencil and paper to get a clearer view of what they are. There should be 6 symbols altogether. Leave this small window open so you can see the symbols.
Now look at the symbols on the arch itself. You have to click them in the same order that they appear on the paper. When you click the first one, it will glow green. Then the next one, and so on.
If that's not the location you're at, can you be more specific?
OK, my bad, I just realized with 3 symbols you must be talking about the place with the ancient fountain where you put the mirror in the statuette's hand, right?
For that one, as you know, once you've put the mirror in the statuette's hand, 3 symbols will show up on the column on the far left. Now click on the symbols on the right side of the ancient fountain and leave the little window open so you can see the 3 symbols. They will be some variation of sun, moon, and star.
However, and this is the tricky part, there are several different suns, several different stars, several different moons--and you have to match exactly.
So on each symbol on the left hand column, click it to rotate through all the shapes that are available. Make sure you are making an exact match, so that if the moon on the fountain is solid, the moon on the column is solid, all that. Look carefully, because there are several similar choices.
Once you've matched each of the symbols on the left to the symbol in the same position on the right, you can move on.
