Season of Mystery: The Cherry Blossom Murders

    User Review by l8nytsimmer

for me, this game was a breath of fresh air. Just like anyone else, I like a challenge, but I also thoroughly enjoy a simple HOG, that does not include a lot of complicated player interactions, and confusing puzzles. And I most enjoy a good story. This game presents us with an old fashioned whodunit, combines with lovely art and graphics. I was happy to pay my $6.99 to Big Fish so I could continue the action after the 1 hour trial. If you like an uncomplicated game, that provides a couple of hours of relaxing fun, then I highly recommend this one. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    Fishdom: Frosty Splash

    User Review by molly539

For Fishdom fans another Fishdom holiday theme - this time Christmas. In this edition of the beloved match-3 game, you have red sacks, snowmen and golden bells along with the jellyfish and anchors. Your tanks and the accessories you can buy for them are Christmas related. The tanks don't seem to be as cluttered as they were in Spooky Splash (that was the only thing I didn't care for in that version) so decorating is more satisfying. Nice music as well, not overtly "christmas-y" but it will put you in the holiday spirit. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Season of Mystery: The Cherry Blossom Murders

    User Review by gobaba

This certainly doesn't break any new ground in HOGs, but the scenes are pleasant to look at, music is subtle & pleasing, and most objects make sense within the context (I say most, not all). Objects are hidden well, but not invisible, and the story does keep you interested, but most mini-games aren't very challenging. This would be ideal for fans of the pure HOG genre. I'm an adventure game fan myself, but I bought this w/no regrets. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Season of Mystery: The Cherry Blossom Murders

    User Review by molly539

This is a fairly easy HOG with lovely graphics and music. There are two kinds of hints: a recharging button which shows you the area where the object is or you can click on the name of the item to see a silhouette. There is a lot of dialogue but it can be skipped through, as can the mini-games (just click on the "solve" button at the top of the screen). I don't think I would buy this game though the graphics, music and story appeal to me. It just doesn't grab me. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    User Review by henthorm

Typical Hidden Object, where you are fed a story line and have to visit different locations in order to find random objects that in no way coincide with the story. Mini-games are not challenging and hints recharge slowly, which is not a big concern as you can view the outline of the object at any time and this is usually more then enough to locate it. Pet Shop Hop

    User Review by BaileyCrawly

Pet Shop Hop is a unique game in which you can run your own pet shop. This is the best game in the 'diner dash' series since the original diner dash game came out. It starts off easy for five-year-old users, and then it gradually gets more and more difficult until it is your limit and you can no longer make it. This game is addictive and hard to put down, and you can purchase it now at Wal-Mart stores ALL OVER CANADA for $8.77. This game is worth WAY more money than that, but the game is going to keep you busy long enough to last the rest of your life. Purchase it now and get into the Pet Shop Hop. As someone who spent many (O.K. hundreds) of hours playing both the original Diablo and Diablo II, I was dubious that this game would be any fun. I was sooo wrong. The graphics are good, the gameplay is fairly intuitive and there are quests galore. After playing for 45 minutes I reinstalled my Diablo and was surprised how dated it seemed. I will definitely be buying this game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I give it a C+. The game is pretty good and the mini games mostly fun. The story is awful and there's no way to quickly skip through it. They're done it again - HE.. another winner, even though the gameplay on this one is quite different to those past. There is the same suspense though throughout, not really knowing what is going on, a bit of humour, and alot of working it out yourself. I'm a little divided though. I really did love the past HE games and feel like I have to grieve for them now, as HE are unlikely to ever go back to that format. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    Paradise Beach

    User Review by ItsSpooky

I'm a greenie at heart, so some of the commentary in this game I found downright offensive, but if I put my views of wild turtles aside, this is the first game that's come across at all like my beloved best ever games - Impressions Empire series, and so I love it to bits. I don't like these tourists and all their rubbish, but I love being able draw my own design for the layout of the park and place things where I want them, and then beautify them. And, of course, keep my little tourists happy. But for the "the turtles are so sad all alone on the island - they need tourists to keep them happy!" I would have given this five stars easy. This is just a brilliant game, lovely graphics, even great originality (penguins??), relaxed gameplay and a silver and gold for those who want the challenge. Avenue Flo

    User Review by ItsSpooky

When I was younger, this is the kind of game I always wished existed, so a part of me enjoyed it very much. Sometimes it was slow pace and I got a bit lost after the fellow left the newstand and I saw him in Flo's, but I was really hooked after the crocodile came out of the sewer! A game more for the littlies, but I still enjoyed it, the humour, and the light-hearted graphics and feel to it. That flower arranging and gym work was really though, and at least one skip would have been nice. And a mystery to boot. May Flo never die.... Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    Kitchen Brigade

    User Review by ItsSpooky

I deliberately left this one alone for a month or so before downloading it because of the saturation of restaurant style games and pre-conceived notion of being disappointed or bored. However, I was proved wrong, yet again. Kitchen Brigade has a number of features in game play unlike any other restaurant style game (although a little reminiscent of Amelie's Cafe) where other people help you prepare the food. I thoroughly enjoy playing it and having the choice to buy upgrades or meals for those high tipping customers. Check your pre-judged hat at the door, and enjoy Kitchen Brigade. Oh, and a bit of a tip - do as much as you can yourself and cook the final meals yourself - its way quicker than those lackies of yours, and your customers will be happier! This is also one of those games that makes you hungry - so playing coming into dinner time is the best. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    Vampire Saga: Pandora's Box

    User Review by ItsSpooky

This is easily the best game I've played all year. I loved every minute of it. And I'm not big on the scary ones either. In fact, it nicely edged around all the M or R rated and used suspense (rather than overly grizzly visuals) which left alot to your imagination. The blurry flashbacks in black and white were perfect. You never really knew exactly what had happened (until further in) and it sucked me in good to want to find out. Beautiful graphics. Great gameplay. Finally one that was loose enough in structure for me to work things out on my own. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    User Review by NeneAdams

A good story, superior voice acting (so rare) and a very nice 1920's style lift this HOG above the average. Objects seem period appropriate, and although the occasional object is a bit *too* well hidden, the hint system is generous. Some re-playability, too. Definitely one for the collection. I hope the developers make a sequel. Valerir Porter was a delight. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    User Review by gobaba

Beautiful graphics & music really draw you in. I could figure out most moves/puzzles w/o hints, but when I did use hint system, it doesn't spoil it for you--you still get a chance to figure things out. This would be a good starter game for HOG lovers who are sick of looking for hot dogs, umbrellas and neckties in cluttered rooms, and are looking to branch out into more challenging adventure games. I was very pleased with it and bought it w/o regrets. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Wow, finally a place for Dawn's Light in GameZebo! This is one of the best RPG's I've ever played people, don't miss it! It is brilliant and so much fun to play. Agatha Christie: Dead Man's Folly

    User Review by thistle809

Lovely graphics, interesting story, lots of playing time; but it needs an option for an untimed mode and a more generous hint system. If you use the hints correctly (Click on the name of the item after you click for a hint; and you will see the object surrounded by stars.), it can be very helpful; but there are so few hints available (You begin each chapter with 3.) that it becomes rather stressful. Balancing the need to complete a chapter in the 25 minutes allotted yet keeping those few hints until you absolutely have to use them, takes a bit of the fun away. (You can earn an extra hint by finding several objects in very quick succession.) This would be a fantastic game, if those issues had been addressed. The fact that if you do not finish a chapter in the specified time, you must start from the beginning of that chapter may deter a lot of folks from enjoying this game. I wish I liked this game because it is pretty, and well designed, but I don't. There are 3 sections to every insufferably long level. Find the pieces to the items in silouette, which can be really hard to find, use the finished items to interact with sparkling areas to retrieve other things that are needed, get a new spell, then go to battle with some creature/ critter by finding...items sitting on.....shelves?. That part, the battle, is so far out for me...it's like a bad comic book. I am not qualified to like this game. But just because I don't like it, that doesn't mean it is a bad game. Mystical, magical, fantasy is not for me. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    Big City Adventure: New York

    User Review by Hyppo

Very deep game for fans of the genre. The game has a lot of levels but they go by quickly. The art is very well done and having the postcards with facts about the city is a very nice touch. The team introduces a few new mechanics with the various coins you can find, in addition to a regular hint coin there are coins that show you three hints, add time to your game, and add points. The mini games are fairly basic and though they are themed to NYC, they don't really progress the story. They are just there to allow you to break up your gameplay. This is why I don't like the fact that you have to earn the right to skip them. I think an option to skip the minigames outright would have been better. All in all it's a very enjoyable game, hours of game play and worth a buy. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
