    Stand O' Food

    User Review by boes0083

More fun than I thought it was going to be. I tried it for a short time and got frustrated at the building of the meals, but then tried again and realized it is like a puzzle game and you have to be strategic. The addition of sauces for extra points is good; the music and fan to cheer customers up; and the coffee machine to make you run faster. Good game; you just have to be willing to be patient. The Treasures of Montezuma

    User Review by boes0083

My favorite parts of this game are the time totem, painter totem, and harvesting totem; as well as bonuses like the score frenzy, dynamite, and extra time bonus. The bonus levels are a little bit hard; it can be difficult to click all the stars or find pairs of tokens in time. But overall, it is a sweet take on a match-3 game. Stand O'Food 2

    User Review by boes0083

What's with all the bad reviews? I thought that Stand o' Food and this sequel were going to be difficult and annoying to play at first, but they are like, cool puzzle games where you have to be smart about what you pick up, how you spend your money, etc. NOT a disappointment! For a while I had these games just sitting in my recycle bin, then I thought "OK, it's time to try them." The UFO cafe and the tea room cafes in the sequel are really cool, and the special robots that reorganize the food pieces and give you exactly what you need are a great addition. Season of Mystery: The Cherry Blossom Murders

    User Review by thistle809

Nice graphics, pleasant music, refreshingly different storyline and location. The placement of the objects does not seem to change when a place is re-visited, so I have some doubts about replay value. The hint system is good (unlimited and accurate), but you will need very, very few if you use the option to click on the name of an object to see the silhouette. The dialogue is intelligent (Thank heaven!), the mini-games are fun, and there is no timer. Pretty good. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    Alchemist's Apprentice

    User Review by sotong

Beautiful graphics! But game play gets boring after a while. All the levels appear the same - that is collect target amount of gold coins. The leprechaun is really annoying; really unnecessary as the few coins collected from the leprechaun can be easily collected from the main puzzle itself. I keep upgrading the castles and houses but didn't notice what difference it makes in the game as you go along. After a while, gets boring, repetitive & tedious. 5 stars for graphics and 2 stars for game. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    Mystery Masterpiece: The Moonstone

    User Review by JenB

Overall a good game. I didn't think the rooms repeated too often. The way you needed to find at least one thing in a room that would help you solve a clue in one of the other rooms was nice. The clue interface where you needed to dust for prints/open a letter/solve a puzzle, etc. was kinda clunky though. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    Hidden Magic

    User Review by Hyppo

I enjoyed this game but did not purchase it. The battle scenes are a nice addition to the genre and what kept me playing the game. I did not purchase the game due the levels where you found pieces of items to put them together. I admire the ingenuity of the team in putting together fragments of objects, I just found it highly annoying. I look forward to other games progressing the mechanics in this game, the art is solid as are the production values. If the base scenes had been more standard instead of finding pieces of objects I would have purchased. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    Jessica: Mysterious Journey

    User Review by sotong

Awful! Lousy graphics and the music is just awful. Storyline is just bizarre - no cohesion! Items are so tiny that it is impossible to find. For example, look for coins and they are shown as small little dots! Or item like "clocks" (plural) but you are only looking for one clock. Or a key ring is shown as a tiny little square on the ground! The graphics are already so poor and yet the developer makes it more frustrating to play by making the whole scene very dark so that you view it through a flashlight. Jessica Mysterious Journey? The mysterious part is you don't know what you are looking for. This game sucks! Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    Picket Fences

    User Review by PaulG

Oddly enough I found this game addictive and a different change of pace from the flood of HOGs we have been getting lately ...although that is not a bad thing either! There are 10 card games, all centered around decorating. The first, you buy things for your Condo. Earning 3 medals by winning against 3 computer players, it opens up the second game. As you progress, different bonus cards and some strategy is involved. For example, you have to buy a vanity (3 card set) before you can use the 2 mirror cards. You have to buy a bathroom before you can use the wall cards. However, if you get mirror and wall cards off the deal, you have carefully choose which to get rid of and which to keep while trying to meet the requirement before using. Sounds pretty silly, but like I said, once you start playing, it becomes somewhat addictive. I ended up using a BFG credit for it because it fulfilled its purpose, a game that is simply interesting to play and a nice change of pace. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

Can't help but not liking this one. Too complicated, too much going on at the same time and contradictory to that, it was kind of boring, gameplay wasn't offering a lot. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

I really love this game.. Beautiful sceneries and interesting gameplay and story. Gives you another Dream Chronicles feeling!! Some people say for a starting HOG player... why?? The game is challaging and nice mini games and no prob. it's running slow.. I guess you play a game to enjoy and take your time for it. I really love that..If you don't than you better choose for a TM game... Happy gaming !! Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

    Murder, She Wrote

    User Review by Mummze_1

This is certainly a unique, different approach to a HO game because it is based on the TV series. It is a delightful story game. The first cute suprise was the use of the typewriter keys. Then each section is a book so there are chapters within the game, all different stories. The use of voices enhances this game; without them, it would not be as good. The voice of Jessica Fletcher is excellent. A wonderful, enjoyable game experience. Beautiful crisp graphics for the HO that are not invisible. The mini puzzles are fun, not real hard. If you watched and liked the TV series, you will enjoy this game even more. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate

A fun game that although it gets repetitive you do get your money's worth! Just when I thought I had completed all the purchases more would appear! I liked having the screensaver option, being able to click on items in the garden, and naming the dog! I played in the relaxed mode so it was a fun stress-free way to pass the time. Christmasville

    User Review by moonwitch

Simply awful! Nevosoft has gotten into a bad habit of using the same game framework for a lot of these games that end in -ville. The only thing that changes is the setting. But unfortunately, the dialogue is boring, too much altogether, too many spot the differences and too much of the same settings over and over. I played through three quarters of them demo and got too bored to continue. Not worth the effort or the money if you own one of the -ville games already. The Magicians Handbook II: BlackLore

    User Review by moonwitch

The game is a little too complicated and aggravating to be fun. I own the first one and bought this a long time ago. I quit playing because I got irritated, and for lack of anything else, finished it today. The overall look of the game is beautiful, the play is good, but some of the keys and the objects are too difficult to find. Also, it gets boring after awhile returning to the same places. About the only redeeming feature to me was that it takes a long time to play which makes it worth the money spent. Not sure I will be buying the next one that comes out. Gemini Lost

    User Review by spirefly

Overall a very enjoyable game. Some of the tasks could have used better explanations or at least more insight into what science items should have been bought before others. Usually when I play these types of games I need to refer to walkthroughs, however this one was easy enough without it. I loved seeing all the people scurry to the chapel when I rang the bell to find a match for the weddings. I hated seeing all the accumulated gravestones. Don't expect much in the ending... I don't want to give it away but it was a big let down for me. Give this Review a Kudos Report as Inappropriate
