Good morning/afternoon everyone in GZ land You are litening to Radio GZ09 with Night Owl a your DJ. I found a nice Saturday song. It's a mellow song
Ccme Saturday Morning by The Sandpipers Lyrics
At one time John Denver had written a vocal song about war that had no music, just him talking. I'm not sure what you call it. It's about war and how it affects people all over the world. This video does have a song in the background but it isn't how John Denver had originally wrote it. The tragedies in the USA and to Englandss Military reflect this.

Hi everybody... back between the lines...
In case you're thinking I've nothing in mind 4 today... you're all wrong he, he, he....
First the laundry is done... and in the afternoon we've a Lounge meeting at one of our friends house in the neighbourhood - around and about half an hour's drive I guess-...
Well, something interesting: The new kitchen cupboards are ready!! They'll be placed on Tuesday next week and I've to unload the old cupboard tomorrow and Monday.. Also we've to restore the other cupboards and are going to decide ( mmmm that's difficult
) what we don't want anymore and give to Charity.... Sounds familiar huh??? LOLRags: Guess they put you on tablet meds for the diabetes... keep me fingers crossed... Btw. there are new possibilities for using injections.... A small device giving the insulin when needed during the day/night....No cakes anymore huh?? Did they also give you a special diet ???
Thanks for the special breakie and beautiful flowers... Yellow roses are me fav. Huggers..and enjoy your day..
Woofie: Thanks for the Sandpipers song... very nice especially for today.
I guess the J. D. song is one we have to take notice of.. It's reality!! I've enjoyed it and was glad you've posted it...
Thanks for the BFG & GH game info and free game (only for 2day huh)...
Have a great day whatever you've in mind...*waving* to all who comes after..
Be back before I leave... Hugs&Love

Hello Everyone
Woofie thank you for opening and for your usual info about games etc. Did not recognise the song which is unusual as I have listenend to a lot of music.
Levendig Good morning see you have already done the laundry hee hee, I will do mine tomorrow I think as I am still getting everything back in place. Sound like you are getting a new kitchen as well if you are getting new cupboards. You have to empty the old ones then you throw things away you think you don't need then you discover once the new cupboards are in you needed some of the things you threw away LOL. Enjoy meeting up with your friends.
Rags I liked both photos but I guess I will settle for the flowers LOL. I had never heard of Sadie Hawkins either until my daughter went to High School here in USA and discovered it is a dance where the girl asks the boy to and they wear matching shirts or something that tells you they are together or at least that is what they do in my area of Texas. Hope you get the diabetics sorted out and that it is only a pill you need.
Need to go feed my dogs as they are looking at me like Mom we are hungry.
Be back.

Scot: Yeah new cupboards in the kitchen.. We've ordere them nearly a year ago... handmade of light Oak from the woods in the neighbourhood... Yep throwing things away... (charity ) and imagine you don't need it anymore.. After a few weeks you're searching for those things... he, he, he... LOL
Off now and C U in the afternoon!!! Hugs

Hi everyone!!!
Leven I like the song too
Rags Thanks for the firewood!! It will keep the fire burning and keep us nice and cozy warm.

Edit
Scot,
I think todays song is from the 70's I love the smell of fire in a fireplace. At one time I babysat a friends son. She had a wood burning stove that she ued for heating the house. I loved it!! The thing with wood burning stoves is that they dry out the air so she has to keep a kettle of water on top of the stove while she uses

Good morning everybody!
Woofie, thanks for opening, heating and bringing goodies! Loved listening to the Sandpipers song.
Levendig, always active. Your new kitchen cupboards sound lovely. Enjoy sorting out old things, make room for new! LOL
Rags, thanks for the flowers, I like both kinds. Hehehe
Good idea to have checked the diabetes out at the clinic. Maybe you even only need a special diet? My grandma used to be very proud, because she managed to do without meds, having a strict diet. It was not easy for her, she was used to Bohemian and Austrian cooking and loved all those "Mehlspeisen", like sweet and hearty kinds of Knödel and such.
It must be hard for you to do without eating cakes.Micky, thanks for giving us breakfast. Sadie Hawkins day sounds nice, a lady doesn´t have to order her hubby to ask her to dance then. Much easier this way. Hehehe
Scot, good to see you´re back. hope all went well yesterday.
I´m playing ND Dossier: Lights, Camera, Curses beside some other games. I like it much better than "normal" ND games.
Have dld TGT, but not started yet.Have a great day everybody.

Hi everyone! Hope all is well with you all. Rags, my hubby has been diabetic for years. There are many things you can do all of which depends on your dr and how bad your diabetes is. You just need to monitor it and take it serious and not cheat.

Good Morning All!! It seems a slow day, here, so far!!!
Woofie, thanks for opening up the room and starting the nice fire!! I love the smell of wood smoke, too! I will listen to the song in a bit (after hubby leaves for the rest of the weekend). Just finished dling TGT, but will have to wait until after I get off work, to try it out.
Levendig, lucky you too, new cupboards!! LOL Now I'm really jealous!! Enjoy your visiting, today.
Micky, i vaguely remember Sadi Hawkins Day, but was too shy to ask any of the boys out!! LOL I guess I had better grab hubby, quick, before he leaves!! He will be away until tomorrow afternoon!
Rags, LOL I love both of your flowers! The arrangement is really nice and different!! Love it!! Pasteries are great too!! Looks pretty reminiscient (sp?) of our buffet breakfasts in Ireland!! Really good pasteries!! I hope your diabetes can be controlled with, preferrably diet, or if not, just the pills. I remember my dad having to take the injections!! won't be any fun, not being able to eat any of your cakes, though!! Good luck with it!
Scot, I hope your dogs are happy and fed, now!!! LOL Good luck with getting everything all sorted out, again!!
Origami, I played ND:D -CLC and enjoyed it too. I dled as GHs free game, one time, but uninstalled it, then found it retail!! I will play it again, one of these days, after I have gotten caught up with all the other games I have purchased!! LOLLC
Okay, better go. Hubby will be back from his walk shortly and I had better spend a few minutes with him, before our friend picks him up, and takes him away!! LOL I will see you all later.

ARRRGGGGHHHHH !!! I had a post already to go and hit the post a reply button and uh oh it is gone.
Good morning to everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful day. I see Scooter flew in last night with chocolate cream pie for all of us. Good morning Woofie, Scot, Micky, Levendig, Origami, GrannyO, Rags, Linda, Shuldiner. Nice fire in the fireplace, beautiful flowers, great music, nice and warm and cozy here this morning. Good to see all of you. We are still cleaning up the yard and taking things to the organic dump. This should be the last weekend for that. I saw a Junco bird yesterday, we call them "snow birds" because they show up at the same time as the snow. Soooo, it can't be too far behind. I need to get my feeders filled and the suet put up for my fair feathered friends. See you later. Have a great Saturday everyone.

Hello Everyone
Have not been at the computer much today but I am taking a moment from telling hubby where to put everything LOL to play some in the Big Sea. It is only 9:22 am here and I am tired so hubby gets worried for no reason, it is exhausting trying to decide where to put everything in my china cabinet, it is much easier taking the stuff out but now that the floors are in everything has to go back. This is the time you wish you had not decided on a new kitchen or new floors LOL as everything that you took out has to go back in. The funny thing is I threw things out that I decided were done or gave things to charity and now here I am looking for some of the darn things and talking about going to get ones to replace the ones thrown away or given to charity, I know silly but funny at the same time.

Have a great day everyone, I am off to play in the Sea for a few minutes then I have some games that I really need to play.

Good Morning, Ladies & Gentlemen

Thanks for getting us prepped for the day, Woofie!
Sadie Hawkins Day; eh Micky? I'll take that as a personal challenge. Now where'd he go?
You're gonna need that extra eggs and bacon if you and hubby are planning to dance all day, Levendig!
The "flowers" look delectable, Rags. All need now is some butter--maybe some sharp cheddar.....No more cakes? Poor Rags :( BTW, I've had diabetes for 17 years and have only taken insulin when in hospital. At home I take a half pill a day. It's a progressive disease that doesn't always play by the rules. For the first 15 years I was diet-controlled and the biggest favor the doctor did was not to prescribe a specific meal plan but to send me to read up on how the disease works. I learned to test my blood sugars to know which foods I could eat without spiking the levels and which I couldn't--and how much!!! The trick isn't to go for lows or highs but for EVEN levels. Keep them steady and close to "normal".
Levendig, go feed your dogs!!!!!
A trainride across Canada is #2 on my Bucket List, Woffie (right behind trying on a wedding gown which is something I've never done. I got married in a turquoise dress).
Origami-san, I gave up on Nancy Drew. They always had me going around in circles. I remember one boatride where I was completely seasick!!!
U2, Granny!
Schuldiner, you're so right. Keep testing blood sugars to know what diet, exercise and medication work and what doesn't. It's an individual thing.
Linda, you're gonna make yourself poor buying games you got for free or rebuying games you dumped. If theyre clogging your computer, can you transfer them to a portable hard drive?
Happens to me all the time, Sandy! The disappearing posts, that is. Have a great day and enjoy the birds. Hope you like snow!
Hi to Scooter, Wanda and everyone else I don't see too often these days!!
Everyone have a wonderful day with Fun & Games in it!

Ashie, my husband was diabetic for years, on diet, then the pills, he got Pancreatitis which killed the pancreas altogether and is now on the shots. It is non forgivening but can be beat if you monitor and watch and dont cheat. I am pre-diabetic but my house has been sugar-free for years so I am increasing my physical workouts (such as they are). Rags, get your dr to send you to a nutritional who can help you on diet.

GrannyO, I hope you have a super Sat., too. I will, when I am done my shift, at 4 p.m.!!
Schuldiner, I hope you are having a good day, too.
Sandy, I haven't seen any of those "Snow Birds" yet, so I guess that means the snow is further away, huh!! LOL They are such pretty birds, when they all take off at once! Too many pigeons, in our area, to set up bird feeders!! There is a by-law, here, about feeding pigeons!! I used to feed the birds, when we lived in Wawa and miss that!! Now they flock around our apple tree and the mountain ash, across the street!! Several Blue Jays, as well!
Scot, isn't that the way it works??? Get rid of something and then you want/need it!! LOL We got rid of our slow cooker, a few years ago, because it was rarely used!! Last winter hubby went looking for it!! LOL Actually our daughter said we needed one and hubby said we had one we never use, and when he went looking for it, it was already gone!!! LOL
Ashie, I don't have a portable hard-drive, but maybe I should look into getting one. I just find it easier to uninstall them, then re-install them if I want them again. Once I have played a game, several times, I usually don't want to for quite a while!! lOL Yes the retail games are piled, in plastic tote boxes under my comp. desk!! LOL Not sure how many there are!! We have money, now, when hubby retires, though........ Glad you see you more and more each day!!
Well must go and start to get ready for work. I will see you all later this afternoon! HAGD All with Fun and Games!!

Hi everyone I thought I would bring us all some nice snuggly lap robes (blankets). So cold even here in the deep south USA. Frost this morning.
Rags, I love your flowers! If I could afford fresh flowers I would have them all the time. Instead I have seashells in different rooms. They remind me of summer and sunshine. Happy thoughts!
I am playing Nancy Drew Dossier: Resorting to Danger. So far so good! I hope I don't run across any dark places that I can't see. I have 15 or more ND games. Inbetween I am working on poor unwell Mel. Poor thing I bought the game months ago and he still isn't cured! LLC
Hugs to you all! Chevy

Hello, All!! Back from my short 3 hr shift, at work and discovered it was GrannyOs BD!! LOL That was the first stop I made!! Wishing her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Hubby is away, for the night, and I am trying to decide what to have for supper!! Decided on one of the frozen French Onion Soups and a Chicken Stir fry bowl!!
Levendig, I'm not jealous of all the work you have to do, to get the new cupboards installed, but am jealous of the new cupboards, of course!! LOL I hope you have a good time emptying the old ones!!! LOL
Chevy I'll grab one of those lap blankets, for later!! Chilly without hubby around!!! LOL
Scooter, you are a little devil, but we love you for it!! LOLLC GrannyOs BD would have gone right past us, without you (as much as she probably would have loved if it had!! lOL)
Ralph, good luck with your sociology!
I probably missed someone, but doesn't seem to have been really busy, today!! LOL I guess I'll go try the demo for TGT while waiting for my supper to be ready. I'll pop back in later.

If it keeps on raining I will need an ark soon. LOL It is so dark and dreary I have to keep a light on.
Looks like an in and out day for everyone. I think I will wait on the TGT until SW gets it. Nice game but I was at the end of chapter 4 in 35 minutes and it has 8 chapters. That was with solving the puzzles too. I peeked at the wt to see the length after I was done. LOL I think I will go in search of a game after I place a book order.
Night Levendig, sweet dreams. Our little green dragon must be headed off to dream land to, night Origami.
I think I will take another piece of Grannyo's cake and see what game I can find.

Levendig & Origami, have a good nights sleep!!!
Scooter, I tried the TGT and found it ran much tooo slow on my comp. Just really choppy!! I did purchase Alexandra Fortuna (Archipalego) and finished it, now I'm purchasing the Monte Cristo one. What books did you finally order??? I ordered the next Alex Cross book, the next Scarpetta book and the newest Eve Dallas book!! LOL Between reading and playing games, who has time for HK and stuff!! LOL
Okay, grabbing a piece of GrannyOs cake as I head out to play my game!! No hubby tonight!!!

I'll check back later!!

Hi everyone, most of you are already in bed and having sweet dreams!. Scooter glad you remembered it was GrannyO's birthday, I'm sure she wouldn't have said a thing about it.
I'm very envious of those that are getting new kitchens, cupboards, floors etc. I know it's alot of work cleaning out, but it looks greats when all in place. I've started doing some cleaning out myself (again). I will be able to have another yard sale next spring !! LOL
Rags, love the edible flowers!! LLC.
Hope everyone has had a great day.
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
Linda, well, I kind of got carried away with my book order. I got I, Alex Cross, Scarpetta new one, Eve Dallas new one, Blood Games by Iris Johansen(love the forensics sulpture series), Chosen to Die by Lisa Jackson and a different type of book, Pirate Latitudes by Michael Crichton. I though of Pirate when I saw the pirate book so thought I would get it for a change of pace. I wonder if I will run into her in the islands? LOL
Not sure when I will have the time either but I have been thinking about it. Maybe during a shower, no that won't do. Maybe while washing dishes, no too messy. I have it, while I walk back and forth from the computer. LOL Maybe while I watch the news before turning in.

I have had two pieces of cake already but I think I will have a third one. We do like our cake here, I'm surprised there is any left. LOL
Hi Wanda, that is really what I need to be doing, getting rid of things I haven't seen in years. If I can keep off the PC for a little while each day I may get some things given away or to Goodwill. I figure if I haven't seen it in 10 years I don't need it. LOL I have two closets full of stuff that hasn't seen daylight since before time. LOL It's time to downsize.
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
Just finished the Return of Monte Cristo!! Pretty good, fairly easy, objects not as hard to find as the first one! Figured it was time for another piece of cake!! LOL
Wanda, you're way ahead of me, in cleaning out stuff!! LOL We never get around to yard sales, just get rid of it. Usually to a church yard sale, or something!! LOL
Scooter, I usually take a book to work, these days (a smaller one that fits in my large purse...LOL) and I read where some people take the daily paper......get it!! LOL At work (it's just been sooooo slow, in the evenings!!) I am reading, now, "Deadlock" by Iris Johansen. I have read a few of her books and like them, too!! LOL I don't think I have read any of Lisa Jackson's. I'll have to look her up (as if I need any more types to read....llc)!! Let me know if you see Pirate, running around the islands!! ROFL!
I find that once I have found the things I haven't seen in years, I realize that I can still use them!!! ROFLLC A couple of times a year I do go through my clothes and get rid of some.....not many, mind you.....but some!! LOLLC
Well I think I'll go and see what else I can play, in the games I have started. I will check back in later, before I head for bed!!
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
Hi Scooter, all your talk about books, with Linda, has me thinking about getting my nose back into my books too!!. I do enjoy reading.
My mom was a hoarder so I want to make sure it isn't hereditary!! LOL. The Dr. Oz show the other day was on hoarders and got me going again. ROFL. The clothes go to charity and what ever doesn't sell at the yard sale.
Linda, btw we have had juncos here for about a week already at our feeders and we still have a few brave robins too!! LLC
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
Well I am proud of myself, I managed a chapter in my book while watching a Clint Eastwood movie with hubby. I'm reading Nora Roberts new book Black Hills. It's about a gal that starts a wildlife preserve in the Dakotas and of course there is a love interest.
I am dropping off some chips and dip. Have you tried the new Lay's Kettle Cooked Mesquite BBQ extra crunchy potato chips?? They are pretty good, like how chips used to be back in the dark ages. LOL
I hope the siting of Juncos isn't a sure sign of snow in the very near future.
We had a Seattle police officer murdered on Halloween night. His memorial service was yesterday and Canadian Mounties attended. Wtg and thank you to the Mounties for the respect to a fallen officer. WTG Canada!!
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
Wanda, I haven't noticed and Juncos, yet. They could be around, just haven't seen them. Haven't noticed robins, either, but you just never know!!! LOL
Scooter, congrats on reading some of your book!! LOL I am actually reading Echo in Bone, at the moment, while watching John Fogerty on PBS!! Pretty good "live request" show. Had to rest my arm a bit!!!
Thanks for the chips!! I haven't tried those, yet. Not sure if they are in Canada, or not, but I do like Kettle Chips. I am bringing Dark Chocolate Almond Bark, to add to the munchies!!! LOL
Good to hear that our Mounties were there to honour one of your fallen police officers. That is really tragic, when they fall, but great when all the forces stick together in the time of tragedy.
Okay, going back to the show and reading, for a bit. I'll be back later.
Send a Kudo Post a reply Quote & Reply -
Scooter, kudos to you for starting a book. The way I'm going I will have to join the non-reading book club. LOL. I will have to look for the new Michael Crichton book you mentioned, I've read all his others. Don't recall ever seeing the new Layes BBQ chips here. I think I've tried them when in Florida. Thier saying is true, just can't eat 1!!! LLC. sorry to hear about the police officer, but it is great that our Mounties could be part of the memorial.
Linda, thanks for the almond bark, very yummy. Well it's off to bed for me. It is nice to chat with you guys again.
sweet dreams and see you tomorrow.

Scooter, still middle of the evening, for you, but after 11:00 pm here!!
Pretty much time for bed, for me, too. Although Bruce Springsteen is on PBS, now. I may read for a bit more, while listening to him.
It's been great chatting, again. We don't do it often enough, any more.
I will see you all in the morning. Oodles of Giant Chocolate Covered Bug & Leprechaun Hugs & Sweet Dreams to all!
