Did you have the BeaverTails when you were in Ottawa, Linda? I think the Bytown Market is where they started selling them.

Sandy, BeaverTails are pastries. They're fried yeast dough with stuff on them. The stuff can be sweet, like sugar and cinammon, but doesn't have to be. They make 'em with garlic butter too! They get their name from their shape and not their ingredients! If someone doesn't know, The Beaver is a Canadian symbol.

Scooter, my plans for the 4th will have me in the kitchen cutting ribs and watermelon all day, then traveling all the way to the driveway to watch the fireworks through grandpa's binoculars. I'm hoping to get plenty of scrapbook-worthy snapshots of my hubby and kids with BBQ sauce all over their faces. That's one thing good about being the photographer in the family, and that's that no one will be showing pictures of Me with BBQ sauce all over My face!

Ashie, those sound like Elephant Ears we have here. We get them mostly at fairs and street carnivals. They are HUGE !!!! and covered in cinnamon and sugar. Love them. Very light deep fried and shaped like an elephant ear.

I just popped in to take my share of the delicious food and to say good night.
Levendig must be totally engrossed in GHOST, it´s past her usual bedtime.

Hi Wanda dear... I do like the shower a lot cuz it's really HOT here today!! So if you don't mind....LOL
I bought the Ghost 2 today and it might be a bit short it's really, really marvellous, so I don't mind... it's worth it to play the game a few times..
