Hi Cakefordinner.. I was just on http://corp.oberon-media.com/news.asp and on the date 4/22/08, it talks about "I-Play" but nothing about "I-Win"
Yep.. and about "Dayterium".. just entering the site caused my virus program to stop it

i can now access oberon (my bad on the iWin; it IS iPlay). added their URLs to my Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 "whitelist" and Firefox just happened to update to version 3.5.4 while i was posting this same question at Kaspersky's forums. i have complete access at oberon, and a couple others (https sites)i couldn't access before.
kinda weird about dayterium though, unless it's been taken over by aliens. you'd think they'd have cleaned up their site by now, if they were legit. you'd think they'd have noticed a drop-off in stats. oh well, they probably don't have anything i want, anyway.

Just for anyones info i just ran a mcafee scan and i had a trojan from iwin it is called artemis please everyone be careful

pammy, that very well could be a false/positive (one of the reasons i got rid of my McAfee suite with 3 months left on my subscription & purchased Kaspersky).
no need to assume, automatically, that there's something wrong. McAfee is well known for giving false/positives on perfectly good things. example: Aveyond, direct from the publisher. McAfee kept quarantining the game executable. said it was a trojan which it wasn't.

Pammy, I also have mcaffee and am getting issues iwin - I've been staying away from there for now! Plenty of great games at other sites like the new BFG Hidden Expedition - IM LOVING IT!

If you think it's a firewall or AV prob, check out Vipre.............it got best in show for 2009.........bow wow.
Anyway, I'm trying their 30 day trial and seems to be pretty good stuff. Hasn't messed up anything yet and has caught a few strays.

from McAfee's own Site Advisor site, there are no issues with iwin.com.

however, the McAfee program is an entirely different matter and is precisely why i got rid of it. too many false/positives, even for stuff they have good or no information about...like the Aveyond game. it's just a perfectly good rpg game.
i misspoke when i mentioned iwin; i meant iplay. however, iwin is another site i need to add to my KIS 2010 "white (good) list," since i can't access. i probably won't bother if it's just another place like BigFish, Alawar, etc.

what is going on with gamehouse i have free fun pass tickets cancel cause i never do use their membership i go to buy a game from their site place the order shopping cart goes as far as review order and says the game can not be found hello it is from their site also when i contact them email they bounce my email back to me am glad i have cancel but how am i going to use up my free fun tickets that i have already paid for with this situation going on what can i do any ideas thanks
