My pets well the outside pets/workers are a Pyrenees (175 pounds) Halfpint, to guard the sheep, a Aussie LilBit (adopted from Shelter) to herd them, four cats two ran away from home and took up with my other two cats and never left. Ten sheep four of which will be lambing, four piggies that will be leaving in about a month. Inside we have a Whatever dog because we are not sure whatever she is, (she was rescued weighed only 1 lb, bald, couldn't see and had seizures), she is now five pounds and a spoiled rotten baby, an Affenpinscher, Cherokee (she was used for breeding and the owner didn't want her so there was an ad in Craig's list and we went and got her), Two cats (from shelter in Houston) both are 14 years old. Also various chickens, ducks and guineas. And yes ALL pets have been spayed/neutered. Than we have my DH who can be a bear sometimes, does that count? He isn't neutered though!

I have three ShihTzus, my male is my avatar and we have his mate Angel and their daughter Maggie. They are great dogs but they can be a handful at times. Maggie is just like a little kid, she wants all of the loving and will push in front of her mom or dad if they are getting any loving so she can get her share. She also took over all of the dog toys in the house, they are mineminemine and no one elses, and she will let any other dog let them know it. But they are not quite the handful that my three boys were growing up. I think I prefer the dogs at home and my boys doing well and out on their own.

We have a 140 pound Great Dane "Ebony", who thinks she is a lapdog, a 9 pound Cairn Terrier "Remi", who thinks she is a guard dog, A Beagle,who doesn't do anything....but bark (hubbys dog) and a Sealpoint Siamese Cat "Sassy", who totally ignores all of the canines.. -

I guess I will share a little about my "kids". We adopted sisters about 4 years ago. They were 6 months old at the time and it was perfect timing for us to take 2 kittys. Two years ago, a stray made his way into our backyard and stayed with us. Of course, I fed him and gave him water. On husbands birthday, he jumped onto his lap and that was all she wrote. We cleaned him up and brought him in. He was so scrawny and pitiful. He now weighs about 12 pounds and he is our big "bear". They all get along well. Somedays they have races thru the house and it sounds like elephants. We love them dearly.

My son recently bought a PitBull puppy which he named Dante. At his last checkup (yesterday) we weighed in at a mighty 5.7 lbs (he'e 8 weeks old).
Now mind you I personally don't have any pets,(yeah right), but for some reason Dante seems to have adopted me! When he can't find Jeff, he searches me out.
Poor thing he has been battling a bad case of Hook Worms, or as my son-in-law called them "Claw Worms" hence the Vet visits. Seems the pups got it from their mother through her milk. But he is doing well.
My daughter bought the runt from the litter, her name is Mocha Latte, and she had a terrible time while we were gone on our trip to NH, not only was she fighting the worms, but also separation anxiety, but she's happy now, we're back. She loves to cuddle, she is so teeny-tiny, when you pick her up she just snuggles in.
Last but not least, there is Odie, the stray orange cat that thinks he owns me. We used to have another orange cat named Garfield, this one is his son, hence the name. Odie is a drooler, if you touch him he slobbers, lord what a mess. But he is affectionate to a fault, and I love him dearly,
Well those are my non-pets. They always make my day enjoyable.

SuzyQ, we used to have an orange cat named Garfield too. We had him for over 12 years. How cute, to name the new one Odie. lol

As you can tell by my name I have two retired greyhound racers that are the biggest couch potatoes ever. My son brought a cat when he moved back home.

The cat (Raven) is my daughters, but since she lived at home, he is "ours". He always slept with her and cuddled with her, but then she went away for a yr. Then, her started sleeping with me!! When she came back (that was 2 yrs ago) and he is still sleeping with me!! She is not happy!! She will be moving to Ottawa to be with her boyfriend, in a few days but since they will be leaving for a trip to S. America for 3 wks, for him and 3 months for her, he will stay with us, until she gets back. When she gets back, she will come and get him!! She went to Ottawa, last summer, for 4 months, and took him with her then and both returned in Sept. Basically he is ours and I will dearly miss him when she comes to get him, in Oct or Nov.!! She thinks we should get another cat, when he leaves, but dear hubby says NO!! We'll see.

We have 3 cats, 2 females and 1 male. All three are adopted or rescued. They have become our "children", and are spoiled beyond belief. LOL They are more than just pets to us. They are part of our family. Send a Kudo Post a Reply Quote & Reply
