OK, McAfee tech support says: "This is a known issue with McAfee. It will be corrected in the next update of McAfee....very soon."

yes, i had this problem tonight. I tried downloading sleepy hollow and the new nostradamus and both files were listed as trojans with the generic dx. I sent a support request to bfg but of course have not heard anything. I tried to go to McAfee and they didn't respond either. I had downloaded sleepy hollow last week on another site no problem. bfg talked about "white listing" their downloader manager files. I am a somewhat computer novice and a senior and I know nothing of what they are talking about. I hope bfg or Mcafee get this resolved soon, I would like to play some games over the holiday. any help would be appreciated. take care all.

It's not a whitelist issue this time--it's a McAfee problem with the update they just put out. They know about it, they're working on it, and they said it would be fixed "in the next update...very soon." I'll post when I fid out any more.

Today I went to play some games, as we are snowed in with over 15 inches of snow in Vancouver, Washington USA.
And realized that all my Shockwave Games were deleted, along with most
of my Big Fish Games, I went to my Mcafee program event log and sure
enough, Mcafee deleted everything. Detecting some kind of strange
trojan called generic_dx.Come to find out after my chat with Mcafee, that this is a known
issue, however the fix they gave me was impossible to perform and so
confusing, they wanted me to join this "webimmune site" and send
certain files to their AVERT team, in hopes they can help me with
problem. My solution: I deleted all Mcafee files, downloaded another
anti-virus program, problems solved, I reinstalled all my games. My
system is working fine.I did get several emails from some other gamers who are having the same
problems, and I spoke with Paul T. at BFG games, and he said they
are very angry because it is affecting their business.I just wanted to give everyone a heads up, and let you know that it is
not a Shockwave or a Big Fish problem and Mcafee says it is known issue
with the Mcafee Software. I just do not understand why they are not
trying to fix the problem. Instead of trying to have me send them
files I have no idea what I am doing.....I just hope that this helps anybody who may be wondering where in the world their games went.......
Many Blessings for a Merry Gaming Christmas

I would imagine this is affecting McAfee as well business-wise because I've read from several people so far that they are getting rid of that program and installing other virus protection programs. McAfee is not responding but they better start fixing this problem soon to avoid people getting rid of their program on their computer and cancelling subscriptions.
At this point, I've disabled Mcafee completely. If I turn the blasted thing back on again, it will start to delete more of my games and that will be a big pain in the &^%.
I just did a system restore to last Friday and thought that would fix the problem when I first noticed several of my game files were wiped out. Well this worked temporarily until McAfee updated itself again and began the deletion process all over again. I stopped it after I got 3 game deletion notifications.
Now I have to go back and remember which 3 games were deleted so I can reinstall them.
I hope this problem is fixed. I want to protect my computer but not at the expense of deleting all of my PC games.

I am more than a little upset to find all of my games deleted!
I tried to restore but had no luck.
I certainly hope that McAfee comes up with an easy solution to the problem because I am not computer saavy and am hoping they just come up with an update we can click on without all the complicated directions!!!!
This is worse than finding coal in my stocking on Christmas morning!!!!!!
