BFG will be up as soon as possible. They are working very hard to get the site back up!
TB is right, Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand is the game scheduled for today. Hopefully we will be back up very soon! but these things are hard to predict.

With a site as large as BFG, that's a LOT of web servers (and databases) to reboot and/or restore from backups. Particularly if it was a fire and there was physical damage.

I love working at BFG, they are a great company to work for. They way they treat their customers is the same way they treaty their employees :)
I miss you guys too, I try to stop by as often as I can but there are soooo many games coming out that I am swamped.

is anyne else also having trouble signing into Faunasphere?
the site is there but cannot sign in and i've been there for ages without any trouble until now i was wondering if is connected to the BF being down, so aqnyone else with this issue, i'm desperate to see my babbies.

My first time visiting and posting here! Just to say thank you for the info regarding BFG, I was wondering what had happened. Also, anne216 I am having trouble getting into FS too. I get the first page OK but it doesn't recognise my info when I sign in. Never had a problem before so I guess it is related.

Being Faunashpere is an online game, and beta it would be down because of BF being down. At least I think so. LOL

Big trouble.
The largest data center in Seattle Fisher Plaza had a large fire.The equipment on our floor is safe but power is out to the whloe building.
The
building is under several feet of water and they will not tell us when
it will restore power. We are in process of transferring all our data
to our backup datacenter, but that is a 12 to 18 hour process as we
have thousands of servers and massive databases of info to transfer.Fisher plaza is the hosting facility for hundreds of companies, so this is a major Internet disruption.
Please be patient.

Hey, Gamezebo! How about a short news article on the Gamezebo home page about what's happening at Big Fish? As you can see from the many posts here, a lot of Gamezebo members visit Big Fish daily and want to know what's going on. Also, a more detailed article later on how game sites work and what can go wrong with them would be very interesting to me. Thanks for listening!

Hi All,
I just wanted to reply to the issues reported with not being able to sign in at Faunasphere. The problem currently with the BigFish servers is certainly partly to blame, but I don't think it's the entire reason. I received an email yesterday from Bigfish stating that the "closed beta" testing for Faunashpere is about to launch on July 10th. It also stated that only those users who received an email invitation for closed beta testing will be granted access to the Faunasphere site.
That said, if you've been able to access the site up to this point, but no longer an, I would definitely contact Faunasphere support. Use this email, as they replied back to me within an hour: faunashpere@bigfishgames.com

Yesterday I downloaded G.H.O.S.T. Chronicles - Phantom of the Renaissance Faire from BFG and really love it. Tried to buy it this morning but - - - - -. So I finished the hour trial, and tried again to buy it. I may end up getting the key chain. My 2 1/2 year old grandson was over the other day and noticed that I have a BFG Cup, a BFG mouse pad, not to mention a cute stuffed little fishy. He loves them. He will certainly get the key chain if I end up being eligible.
I sure hope there was not a lot of damage done. It is very neat that so many of us love that site so much so for them to be down too long will mean that there are a bunch of game addicts that might even have to go for a walk or something.

Fuanasphere uses Big Fish Games for sign-in authentication and forums, so the outage is the reason.
BFG's equipment and data is safe, but the building power is out and some floors are under water and they will not let us in yet.
Once we have access it will be 6 to 12 hours to move the required databases and servers to our backup datacenter.

Big Fish Games down due to fire
Big Fish Games has been down all morning due to a fire that broke out at Fisher Plaza, the largest data center in Seattle. Posting on GameBoomers.com, Big Fish Games Founder Paul Thelen said that power was out to the whole building and urged fans to be patient.
"The building is under several feet of water and they will not tell us when it will restore power," Thelen said. "We are in process of transferring all our data to our backup datacenter, but that is a 12 to 18 hour process as we have thousands of servers and massive databases of info to transfer.
