Posted on 06/11/08, 02:55pmGreetings, I've tried to use my normal password to log in today and the system doesn't recognize it. I have requested a new passord twice and changed my passwprd twice. Each time I try to use the new password it is not recognized. The new passwoed is apparently accepted, I get a "success" message afterward. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? I am still haveing a problem with the pictures showing up in my computer for the Neverending Casual Games Quiz, luckily I have two computers, because it shows up on the other one! I don't know if it's the amount of RAM that I have because the computer it doesn't show up on is the newer one that has about 4GB of RAM. the one with 2GB of RAM is the one I have to play on! I had emailed Joel but never heard back, but will you tell him that I am willing to help figure this out any way I can to fix this problem

I will let Joel know that you're willing to help find a solution. He's been trying to find a solution as to why it works for some people and not others. He has not forgotten about this issue, it's just been very hard to pinpoint what is going wrong exactly.
I will say that sometimes it works better on some browsers than with others. Can you try using it on the computer you're having problems with and see if you can play it under a different browser? For some reason I find that Firefox works better with certain things on this site. I don't know the explanation as to why.There's also Avant, that's a pretty good browser as well.
Let me know if that works as a temporary solution.

One thing I noticed is that

Posted on 06/11/08, 10:26pmOne thing I noticed is that on some of the Forum pages, the right hand column isn't lining up correctly. On some pages, it overwrites the post, and on others it's way over to the right. Also, when you have links that go to other sites, you might want to include target=_blank in the URL so they open in another window and we don't have to leave your wonderful site! Posted on 06/12/08, 12:38pmSokeripupu, If you try to look at different pages in a forum or different pages in a topic you can only see page 2 or the last page if you are not signed in with your member name and password. I don't know why that is but when I am looking for pages 3 or 4 and I can't get to them, I look up in the top right corner to check and see if I am signed in. When I sign in the problem goes away.
br/> It seems like they would want people who are here just looking around to be able to see everything but I guess they have some reason for only allowing members who are signed in to view all the pages of forums and topics.It can be frustrating when you don't know little things like this. I don't think it was my browser (but I could be wrong) because a lot of the questions had both the picture and all of the answers show up fine. Just hit Refresh on your browser. I use IEx7 and don't log off, sometimes when I return instead of logging back in I hit Refresh and I'm back in. An few times when I did try to log in the next signn in box was inoperable. I think I mentioned this a few weeks ago after gamezebo was down and something fouled up. Posted on 06/23/08, 10:28pmI have taken to checking the number of characters in any review in Word before posting it, to make sure it's under 500 characters. Then I copy and paste it.
Twice in the last few days the system has rejected one of my reviews for "summary longer than 500 characters," even though it wasn't. I then left the page, went back to the Home page, went back to the game, and resubmitted the exact same review with another copy and paste and it took it.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the problem may be if I'm on another user's review and choose the REVIEW THIS GAME option from that page rather than from the Gamezebo review page. At least that's the only thing I can think of that's different between the two attempts. FWIW. Send a Kudo Post a Reply

Hey Robin, thanks for pointing that out. One thing I notice with the site is that different browsers make it work in different ways. More than one person has mentioned that it doesn't seem to take the reviews correctly. I will send this to Joel and he'll check to see what the problem is. The best thing I could tell you is to download Mozilla Firefox browser, it seems to work for those that have trouble with IE. You don't have to make Firefox your default browser if you don't want, just make sure that you don't check that box when it asks you too. I actually have three browsers on my computer.They all have different features that I like. In the meantime we'll see if we can come up with some answers for you. Send a Kudo Post a Reply

I can only view the first & last pages in any discussion (none of the middle pages). Sometimes it won't let me post. I get sent to weird places when I click on a link. If you would be so kind as to click on the "Contact Us" tab below and send Joel some specs about what browser you're using,XP or Vista and which areas do not work for you. It could help him pinpoint the problem.
With so many things that can go wrong it may be hard to pinpoint what the problem could be. Believe it or not, getting this site running is Joel's number one priority.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to access the last page of a forum ~ I can click on the number (or the "last" link) as often as I like, but I keep getting the second to last page over and over... This has happened on two different computers, using two different operating systems (Windows 2000 Pro and Vista) two different browsers (Firefox and IE) and two different methods of internet access (DSL and Dial-up)... Needless to say, I'm very frustrated by the problem, as it makes joining in the conversations on the forum pages impossible... Page changes - I'm a bit late and maybe someone has mentioned this already, but I'm having trouble hitting the page numbers at the bottom of posts. I see now some have Last to click but the other page numbers look so tiny to me to hit the one I want. When pointer hovers over say 4 it reads page 3 and so on, like to switch pages it is always one off what I'm pointing on for me. Can there be spaces between l2345 etc or bigger numbers? Do I just need new glasses or is my new mouse just ornery? (plz don't say it is old shakey hands) I bump up text size and doesn't help. Also would be nice to have Back To Top rather than long scrolls. I guess if keyboard was handy there is key for PageUp or Down, but I usually don't have my keyboard handy, use the mouse on my bed. Hate to be different, just like the mouse action more better over looking for keys. I do like the page numbers at the top too, kudos for that!

Hi MargieB. & Joel, I really hope I am posting in the right place. I noticed this on the 1st page of the breakfast thread. Riverdee's post was in a totally different font and it was mostly covering up the top part where the date, time and part of the first sentence is written. Also, no page numbers at the bottom. 1st page only.I posted on the "other obssesions" thread , but skipped the 1st page since already had seen it, no problem getting to page 3 or 4.Then went to thread "New HOG game..."by carfixer. Same problem on the 1st page. Under gnash(?) saw part of his normal post, then in different font under his box was the rest. Looked almost like a footnote. Not the same font as Riverdee's either. No page numbers at the botton also. If there are posts under theirs I did not see them. Just went back to the top to go to next page.Hope that makes some sense.
