The Price is Right Review
Casual gamer, come on down! You're the next contestant on The Price is Right. Yep, one of the most popular television game shows has gone interactive with Ludia's first computer game offering, The Price is Right, that looks and plays like the real deal - though without Drew Carey or Bob Barker.
Merv Griffin's Crosswords Review
For those who don't know, according to Wikipedia, Mervyn Edward "Merv" Griffin, Jr. was an "American talk show host, game show host, entertainer, television personality and raconteur." He also happens to be the creator of Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and several other noteworthy TV programs, including the one on which this shallow and somewhat disappointing new word game for desktop PCs is based. Bummer!
Family Feud Dream Home Review
Alright game show groupies - how many of you play along at home and yell at the TV? Family Feud has been on the air since 1976, and was the first U.S. game show to air 10 times a week in its heyday. Family Feud Dream Home tries to bring this game show classic to our home computers, "and the survey says" its good news.
Lex Venture: A Crossword Caper Review
Remember when you had to do a science fair project? Most of us have done one... grudgingly (mine covered deforestation). Take a science fair without the painful parts, and add adorable Peanuts Charlie Brown and co. look-alike characters plus a huge helping of word puzzles to get Lex Venture: A Crossword Caper.
Shangri La 2 - Deluxe Review
Fans will be pleased to hear that they can visit Shangri La for a second time in this sequel to the popular word game. With a greater number of levels and some notable new gameplay twists, Shangri La 2 - Deluxe is an all-around better game than the first title, even though its idiosyncratic dictionary takes some getting used to.
Jeopardy 2 Review
Answer: The Jeopardy theme. Question: What song was running through my head as I tried to write a clever lead for this review? While my intro might remind you of the popular quiz program -- and put a catchy tune in your head -- it doesn't capture its spirit. To do that, I'd need music and visuals from the series, along with the charismatic personalities millions of fans have come to adore. So how does the new Jeopardy game stack up against such demanding criteria? Let's find out.
The 80s Game with Martha Quinn Review
Ah, the '80s. Music videos were still on MTV, Michael Jackson was still black, and Bono cared more about music than politics. You can escape back to this pastel-colored decade of decadence with The '80s Game With Martha Quinn, a new downloadable trivia game that tests your pop culture knowledge about Don Johnson, Ms. Pac-Man, The Cosby Show and Prince.
Brainiversity Review
Most of us know that exercise and wholesome foods are endemic to a healthy lifestyle, so staying physically fit is part of our routine. But what about our mental skills? Like junk food for our brains, fun diversions like sitcoms and comic books, and yes even games, might provide delicious entertainment, but they don't always stimulate our intellects. Brainiversity, a new game from Red Sprite Studios, aims to change that.
