Pretty in Pink Review
Pretty in Pink is a hidden object/puzzle game based on the classic 1986 movie of the same name, where Andie and Blane, two teens from opposite financial and social backgrounds, fall in love and have to deal with intense pressure from peers who don't want their two worlds to mix. Iona, Steff, and Duckie are back as well, bringing 80's nostalgia to your computer. Can love survive intense peer pressure? Can people from different social backgrounds make love work? Can we ever recover from the hair and clothes of the 80's? Pretty in Pink has the answers.
Sinking Island Review
If you think it would be fun to be a billionaire, perhaps you ought to hear about poor old Walter Jones. In his case, it was murder.
In the Agatha Christie-esque adventure game Sinking Island, you play as Jack Norm, a police detective called to a remote tropical island to investigate the not-so-accidental death of Walter Jones, a wheelchair-bound billionaire found dead at the bottom of a cliff. Who did it and what was their motive? This is what you must find out by interrogating the ten suspects, snapping photos and collecting evidence.
Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon Review
Dracula has risen again in Dracula 3: Path of the Dragon. This adventure game is the third title in the Dracula series, following Dracula: The Last Sanctuary and Dracula: Resurrection. This instalment follows Father Arno as he travels to Transylvanian to investigate a worthy sainthood but instead he is thrust into the world of Dracula. Though Dracula 3 was released as CD-ROM game, it has been recently become available as a download.
Clueless Review
Based on the 1990s movie and TV show spin-off of the same name, Clueless follows the exploits of a group of ditzy and materialistic Beverly Hills high school girls as they shop for the perfect outfits to attract boys. At the start I was less than impressed with the game's stereotyping, until I realized that the game is in on the joke too, and the girls' over-the-top shallowness is meant to poke fun at the "valley girl" image - which Clueless does with often humorous results.
Syberia Review
A lot of the games we play require quick thinking and quicker reflexes, which is why it's nice to take a break every once in a while with a slower-paced but no less engrossing point-and-click adventure game. Like Syberia.
The Tuttles: Madcap Misadventures Preview
It's not every day that celebrities get involved with casual games, but William Shatner, Bob Saget, Jamie Lee Curtis and others will be adding their voices to The Tuttles: Madcap Misadventures. The game was developed in partnership with the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation, and a portion of all proceeds from game sales will go towards supporting seriously ill children and their families. The game launches later this month, but we were lucky enough to get our hands on a preview.
The Apprentice: Los Angeles Review
Even if you've not watched an episode of the TV show The Apprentice, you've probably seen clips in which Donald Trump points a beefy finger at some unlucky schlep and barks, "You're fired!" In fact, Trump's catchphrase has become almost as famous as his comb over. It was just a matter of time, then, until the show went interactive, as it does in The Apprentice: Los Angeles.
