Kelly Green: Garden Queen Preview

Spring is in the air and the sights and sounds of the country await in Kelly Green: Garden Queen,
an upcoming farming sim from iWin. You'll help city gal Kelly escape her hectic life to make a go of Grandpa's family farm. With limited resources and only the help of friends, Kelly is determined to revive the farm that once employed locals, but was brought to ruin by corporate interests.

If you can finagle your way through a line of customers and still keep the rosebushes thriving, the cows happy, and the floral arrangements looking fresh, your hard work just might
save the day. Check back to Gamezebo and we'll let you know the instant the game launches.

Funky Farm 2 Review

It's not every day you come across a farming game that lets you turn your animals into steaks and chops. If that's not amusing enough, it's also not every day that you find a game that includes cows wearing stilettos, chickens wearing pearls, and maybe a sheep or two sporting a mullet. That's just touching on a couple of features you'll find in Funky Farm 2, a time management farming game that's definitely original.

Orchard Review

Real-time strategy games are all the rage lately. The same goes for agricultural simulations. Put the two together, and you often get promising results - see Youda Farmer, Farm Mania, Alice Greenfingers 2, and so on. Unfortunately for latest genre outing Orchard - which is equal parts time management title, tactical challenge and business sim - though, unless you've got hours to burn, the only harvest you'll reap here is in frustration and boredom.

Youda Farmer Review

Youda Farmer has a lot going for it: above average graphics, realistic sound effects, and gameplay that puts a new twist on farm-themed time management games. There's one problem, though: unless you use a very specific strategy that involves lining up actions ahead of time, the pace will become hopelessly hectic by level six or so.

The game's tutorial doesn't bother to explain this, which is a shame because a lot of frustrated people will no doube give up on the game prematurely. Once you've mastered the right technique, however,  Youda Farmer is perfectly playable and definitely worth a look.

Farm Frenzy - Pizza Party Review

Farm Frenzy - Pizza Party is pretty much the same as Farm Frenzy 2. There are some noticeable improvements - trucks and planes can be upgraded, and the map is much more interesting. But although there are sone new products and buildings, it's the same layout and the same basic gameplay. If you liked the first two, you'll probably like this one. Just don't expect much to have changed down on the farm.

Farm Craft Review

We didn't expect to be impressed with Farm Craft. Sure, you can finally hire farmhands, but did we need another garden game? After the first two rounds, though, it opened up with surprise mid-level goals and dozens of decision points. A brilliant mix of money and task goals, and many ways to approach each challenge, made it a compelling offering.

It's not perfect, and unfortunately our enjoyment was hampered by crashes due to video card issues, but like Build-a-lot, it's a strategy offering with a lot mroe going on than you see at first glance.

Alice Greenfingers 2 Review

What would happen if you took a time management game and offered it in untimed mode? Alice Greenfingers 2 has the answer, and it turns out to be surprisingly engaging. But to fully enjoy the game as it is, you have to put aside all your preconceptions about what it's supposed to be.

Farm Mania Review

Agricultural simulations have been so inexplicably popular lately that perhaps this holiday season, Santa should be shouting "Hoe hoe hoe!" instead. Thankfully, Farm Mania provides one of the catchiest and most playable takes on barnyard life yet.
