Cradle of Persia Review
If you've got an interest in Middle Eastern history, be sure to check out Cradle of Persia. More than just another match-three puzzler, it's also an addictive trip backwards in time through the evolution of one of mankind's oldest and most storied civilizations.

We have Persian rugs to decorate our homes and Persian cats to "decorate" our rugs, but what do we really know about Persia, specifically the Persian Empire? For most, the answer's "not much." In brief, Persia is known primarily as Iran today. The Persian Empire, however, was actually a series of historical kingdoms that ruled the Iranian plateau and parts beyond. What's the significance? Well, the development of that ancient empire plays out in Cradle of Persia.
Aquitania Review
The name Aquitania, at first glance, sounds like an underwater adventure. It's actually a Roman division in the southwest part of Gaul. The game indeed radiates ancient Rome much like Awem Studio's previous hit, Cradle of Rome. Despite quickly turning frenzied and missing an introduction to the story, Aquitania's match-three gameplay entertains.
Star Defender 4 Review
Ever get the chance to play seminal 1981 arcade shooter Galaga? If not, rest assured you aren't missing much at this point - one of the first interactive titles to pit a single spaceship against hordes of incoming alien fighters, it's looking slightly dated 26 years on. Thankfully, that's where dozens of catchy tributes like Star Defender 4 come in.
Star Defender 3 Review
Thirty- or forty-something gamers likely have fond memories of dumping quarters into their favorite arcade game in the '80s. To some, it was all about Pac-Man, while to others the addiction of choice may have been Frogger, Space Invaders or Centipede. For me, it was Galaga. Who could resist those swirling, insect-like aliens you can shoot out of the star-studded sky?
Cradle of Rome Review
As the old saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a day." It took centuries for the ancient metropolis to grow from a small city state into a province-spanning empire. Time was required for its transformation into the capital of the civilized world.
In like manner, don't expect to build Rome quickly in Awem Studio's Cradle of Rome. It'll take more than a day to do the job right... and that's a good thing!
