Sunshine Acres Review
Want to work on a farm? Given the number of farming games we've seen lately, this seems to be a popular idea... at least with game developers. If you're up for another one, or just like wearing overalls and a straw hat, Sunshine Acres is a time management farming game that has you raising fresh veggies to keep your litle plot growing.
Jumpin' Jack Review
Jumpin' Jack has absolutely nothing to do with calisthenics. Not
that we all couldn't use the exercise. Rather, it's a story about
Timbergrotes, plump and greedy creatures that live in hollowed out tree
trunks. It's also a game of side-scrolling, platform-jumping action in
which you direct the game's namesake on his quest. And, just what is
that? Glad you asked.
Time Breaker Review
In the early 80s, game companies had mega-hits with brick-breaking games such as Arkanoid and Breakout. You know the premise: gamers are in control of a small paddle that moves left and right along the bottom of the screen. The goal is to prevent a ball from hitting the floor. When the ball bounces off the paddle, it breaks colored bricks at the top of the screen. The level is completed when all the bricks are gone. Players can also catch falling power-ups such as one that turns the ball into three.
Sheep's Quest Review
Classified as a puzzle game, Sheep's Quest is a mix of arcade action and logical brainteasers wrapped in the veneer of a coin-collecting mission to acquire the needed funds to rebuild a dilapidated farm for the world's fluffiest sheep. Avoiding, in the process, the requisite collection of enemies and obstacles. The end result is a charming romp filled with sheep thrills and woolly, lemming-like, follow-the-leader antics.
Farm Frenzy Review
Part arcade game part management simulation, Farm Frenzy combines elements from games like Alice Greenfingers and Cake Mania to create a fast-paced and entertaining foray into farm administration. It lets you slip into a pair of coveralls and play "Old MacDonald" with a bit of a business twist. The result is some egg-ceptional down-on-the-farm goodness.
Mahjongg Artifacts 2 Review
Considering that the classic game that it's based on is literally centuries of years old, at face value, you'd think it would be hard for Mahjongg Artifacts 2 to innovate on a winning formula. Thankfully, you'd also be wrong, as the popular series strikes gold yet again in its latest installment, which offers more tile-matching, treasure-hunting fun for enthusiasts of all types.
Land of Runes Review
Tonight, the natives are restless. In fact, they're more than restless. They're downright anxious. Who wouldn't be when the ground begins shaking, the animals run for cover and the volcano on your happy little island starts spewing fire and smoke. It's enough to spoil your usually tranquil lifestyle big time. And, that's exactly what's happened in the Land of Runes.
