New Facebook Games: Wonder Island from Gamenauts and MegaCorp, Inc by Large Animal

Gamenauts, makers of Cate West and Burger Rush, has just released their new Facebook game, Wonder Island, a unique mix of a farming and restaurant/cafe game. Large Animal Games has released MegaCorp, Inc., bringing the office culture to Facebook.

Like it’s predecessor The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, the new game promises to have beautiful graphics, a ghostly story, and a good/interesting sense of humor.

Zynga and Facebook announce five-year partnership

Facebook and Zynga announced today that they have entered into a five-year strategic relationship that increases their shared commitment to social gaming on Facebook and expands use of Facebook Credits in Zynga’s games. The agreement provides a solid foundation for both companies to continue to work together, in spite of rumors that Zynga was gearing up to leave Facebook altogether.

Art Stories Review: Art Stories is a lengthy but unpolished take on match-3.

Most of the time Art Stories is a pretty standard match-three puzzle game in the vein Jewel Quest. Players have to clear colored orbs from grids of varying shapes and sizes by swapping pairs to make horizontal or vertical rows of three or more like-colored spheres. It’s entertaining enough, but it’s also very been-there-done-that. However, it still manages to stand out from the crowd by virtue of its frequent “art” levels, which add a unique secondary challenge that, though executed a bit sloppily, ends up being both fresh and fun.
