Farm Story update introduces social gameplay

When we reviewed Farm Story earlier this month, our hearts broke. On the one hand we had a game that absolutely proved to the world that Facebook-style farming games could work on the iPhone. On the other, we had a broken, stripped-down mess that forgot to include the “social” element that makes social gaming so popular. The developers at TeamLava have seen the error of their ways and have introduced true social gameplay into Farm Story this morning with the release of version 1.1.

ChatVille Preview: New video chat service ChatVille pairs strangers together on Facebook

A new "Ville" title has launched on Facebook, and for once it doesn't come from Zynga. A game only in the loosest sense of the word, ChatVille was created by the developers behind the instant messaging tool Digsby and works by pairing two random Facebook users together into a video chat where they can talk to each other and send rewards and compliments if the chat goes well.

Android embraces Flash; Mochi Media and Kongregate on board

Two Flash heavyweights, Mochi Media and Kongregate, have already announced partnerships with Adobe to roll out new sites to offer premium Flash games to users with Android-powered phones.

Kongregate comes to Android

One week ago we speculated that Android’s embracing of Flash would usher in a new era of mobile Flash games, establishing something that would truly set it apart thanks to the iPhone’s refusal to adopt Flash. Today our speculation became a reality. Kongregate has just unveiled a partnership with Adobe that will bring more than 100 of the games featured on its site to a new Android friendly mobile Kongregate site.

MyTown partners with Google Places
