Kuros Review

As Katya, you're in a bit of a high-pressure situation in Kuros. Someone has been tampering with the glyphstones that keep the world in balance, and you're the only one who can restore them. Unfortunately, you've woken up with no idea of who you are, where you are, or what you're supposed to be doing. Hope you're a fast learner, or it's the end of everything.

Room Boom: Suburbia Review

When most people think of property ownership board games, they think of Monopoly.  My heart goes out to those people.  If their thoughts first go to Monopoly, chances are they have never had the chance to enjoy sublime tabletop experiences like Carcassone or Settlers of CatanRoom Boom Suburbia is an all new property-owning experience that has far more in common with the latter than the former, even if its virtual nature means there's not actual board involved.

BurgerTime Deluxe Review

Who could forget Burger Time, the tasty '80s arcade game that challenged players to build hamburgers and avoid running into the nasty toppings. Even fitness guru Jillian Michaels, star of The Biggest Loser, says she spent many a quarter on this frantic arcade puzzler back in the day.

Well, it's back. Namco Networks has resurrected this classic but while adding new game-play elements, better graphics, bigger levels (both vertically and horizontally) and minigames, too. It's not perfect, but a delicious update nonetheless.

G.H.O.S.T. Chronicles: Phantom of the Renaissance Faire Preview

In G.H.O.S.T. Chronicles: Phantom of the Renaissance Faire, you are a ghost hunter asked to determine the cause of the haunting at the Spear’s Renaissance Faire park.  The Spear family has recently undergone personal tragedy and a surprising park ownership take-over.  The rumor of a vengeful ghost that has damaged attractions, vandalized shops and perpetrated other disturbing events has driven away the park patrons and vendors.

If this was a 70's animated TV show, this would be a job for Scooby Doo.  Instead, it's the plot of an upcoming hidden object adventure game (and sequel to G.H.O.S.T. Hunters: The Haunting of Majesty Manor) being developed by Aisle 5 Games that is coming out soon.  Check out some screenshots or chat about the game in our forum.

iPhone: The Sims 3

How do you fit an entire life in your pocket?  It's a tough question, but it's one that The Sims 3 needs to answer.  Bringing the best selling video game franchise of all time to the iPhone is a big challenge, even for EA.  From birth to death and all of the relationships, careers and home furnishings that happen in between, The Sims is known for its epic scope.  Can all of that really fit onto a portable device?

The Sims 3 on the iPhone does an excellent job of taking the complete Sims 3 package from the full PC version and downsizes it into a portable-friendly package.  And while that downsizing means that a good portion of what is offered in the full version is missing, the developers managed to retain the one thing that was truly important: The Sims 3 experience.
