Get ready to roll some Disney dice in a whole new world because a mobile board game courtesy of the House of Mickey is coming soon to iOS and Android. Disney Magical Dice from Netmarble promises to let fans play as their favorite Disney characters while journeying through a themed board game, building Disney landmarks and playing with or against friends through Facebook or over Bluetooth.

The game will feature vibrant cartoon environments, multiple maps, and iconic characters including Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Snow White, Captain Hook, Buzz Lightyear, Maleficent and the Frozen franchise powerhouse herself, Elsa. Players will collect character cards, special dice, and magic beans to buff up their stats and prepare for battle.

Disney Magical Dice

Disney Magical Dice will offer a storyline-driven PvE mode where players can learn and master the gameplay while earning character cards as rewards. Favorite character cards can be strengthened through power-ups and fusion, while players are ranked within Rookie, Minor, and Major classes in preparation for PvP matchmaking. In PvP mode, players will be matched against comparable class competitors in real time and can play in a free-for-all or 2-vs-2 Team game mode.

As an actual dice-carrying gamer in the 90s, I can honestly say I never thought I’d see the letters “D&D” actually be applicable to “Disney” and “dice.” But here we are, magic beans and all. If you’re as intrigued as I am and want an edge on the competition with some bonus loot (which will be paid out within the first week of launch), you can preregister for Disney Magical Dice here.
