Jelly is soft and gelatinous, making it easy to eat and digest. Don’t be fooled by Candy Crush Jelly Saga, however. This match-three title, which is currently available on the Canadian App Store, is one tough jawbreaker.
Like the other entries in King’s saga of candy-crushing, you progress in Candy Crush Jelly Saga by matching up three (or more) identical pieces of candy. When you do so, they disappear. Easy as coconut cream pie, right?
Not this time! One of the game’s core mechanics involves “spreading the jelly.” The messy stuff is smeared over parts of the board, and your job is to make sure it covers every inch, like Welch’s on toast.
If a candy-match involves at least one piece of candy located on a jelly-covered portion of the grid, said jelly will move to cover up the bare portions. Once the naked board is draped in grapey goodness, you move on to the next one.
Take care: There are several boards to cover in each level, and you have a limited number of moves in which to get the job done. As you might expect from the Candy Crush franchise by now, victory doesn’t come easily in Jelly Saga. Luckily, familiar power-ups return to help you get the job done, like chocolate bombs, gummy fish, and striped candy.
No word on when Candy Crush Jelly Saga is getting a worldwide release, but if you want to nab it off the Canadian App Store, we have instructions to help you become a temporary Canadian.
