Hedgehogs aren’t the only platforming wildlife capable of going fast. 2011’s popular platforming game Mos Speedrun stars a little insect dude with a pair of antennae, and he can really book it despite his stubby legs and rotund body.
Good news, then, for fans of speed, solid platforming, and / or unorthodox mascots that just scream out “hug me!”: Mos Speedrun 2 is coming on September 30th.
Mos Speedrun 2 lets you race your ghost across a series of challenging levels that pay tribute to the days when side-scrolling games weren’t shy about offering a sometimes-brutal obstacle course (the days when pixels were pixels, you might say).
That said, one of Mos Speedrun 2’s new mechanics — wall-jumping — might offer you some close shaves instead of inevitable deaths. Other new abilities include rope-swinging, block-pushing, and even a bit of jelly-swimming. Hop on in!
There are 30 levels, and 30 skulls to hunt down. That should keep you busy for a while, regardless of what pace you play the game at.
Look for Mos Speedrun 2 on iOS and Android by the end of the month.
