Good news for fans of deep stories, point-and-click adventure games, and ghosts: The Blackwell Deception is coming to iOS later this month.

Blackwell Deception is already a PC title. In fact, we reviewed it in 2011, and granted it a near-perfect score. The game is part of the Blackwell saga — Blackwell Legacy, Blackwell Unbound, and Blackwell Convergence are already on the App Store — but each title can be enjoyed as a stand-alone adventure as well as part of a larger story.

Blackwell Deception stars medium Rosangela Blackwell and her translucent companion, Joey Malone. The two work together to help wandering spirits accept their fate and cross over to the great beyond.

As you might expect from a game about dead people, things get very mysterious very quickly in Blackwell Deception. People are disappearing — and there seems to be more ghosts around than usual. You help get to the bottom of things by solving puzzles and interviewing people of interest.

We gave The Blackwell Deception top marks for its awesome voice acting, clever puzzles, and excellent presentation. Look forward to more of the same — only pocket-sized — when the game comes to the App Store on September 24.
