As a fan of narrative gaming experiences, few titles were quite as pleasant a surprise as 3 Minute Games’ Lifeline earlier this year. Written by Dave Justus (who also tackled writing duties on Telltale’s The Wolf Among Us), Lifeline introduced players to a stranded friend on another world in need of your assistance. The experience played out in real time (essentially) through text notifications, and even proved a great game for early Apple Watch adopters.

In a word, it was fabulous.

Lifeline has also been a commercial success, maintaining a spot on the iTunes Paid Games Top 100 since release. So I suppose it’s little surprise that a sequel is in the works.

We don’t have any details — in fact, there hasn’t even been a formal announcement — but a current sale on the App Store has revealed that a new game is coming soon.

If you missed the original, you can grab it right now for $0.99 from both the App Store and Google Play. Hopefully we’ll have some more details on Lifeline 2 shortly (or, even better, the game’s release!)
