Last October, Foursaken Media announced that they were developing Heroes and Castles 2, the sequel to their 2013 third-person, action RPG. Now, six months later, they have officially announced May 14th as the game’s release date.

Combining third-person combat with RPG elements and tower defense mechanics, Heroes and Castles 2 will challenge players to defend their castle from ferocious waves of enemies. Players can choose to play as a character from one of three raPhoto_Apr_07_4_12_52_PMces and one of nine different playable character classes.

In our review of Heroes and Castles, we quite liked how the game blended different genres together, but we found the graphics dull and unexciting. This time around, Foursaken Media promises “incredible mobile graphics” featuring vast numbers of units on screen at a time, day/night cycles, and more.

Sporting a single-player campaign, a co-op multiplayer mode, and PVP battles, Heroes and Castles 2 offers players many ways to take their armies into battle whether that be on their own, with a friend, or against one.

Look for Heroes and Castles 2 on May 14 on the iOS App Store.
