Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 is a survival horror game by Scott Cawthon. In this game, you occupy a run-down pizzeria and attempt to stay alive while a maniacal bunny rabbit animatronic tries to murder you. Gamezebo’s Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 Tips, Cheats and Strategies will help keep you alive and sane.

Five Nights at Freddy's 3 Tips Cheats Strategies
  • Use night one to familiarize yourself with the game’s layout and mechanics – Pretty much nothing will hurt you on night one (Springtrap isn’t released until night two), so take the time to comb through the camera feed. Get to know each room’s layout. Once things get underway in earnest, Springtrap becomes very good at hiding himself and your survival depends on how quickly you recognize when he’s occupying a room.
  • Springtrap is drawn to noise – If you see Springtrap on one of your cameras, switch to an adjacent room (preferably one furthest away from you) and play the audio of the child laughing. Springtrap will investigate, drawing him that much further away from your office.
  • If Springtrap is in the vents, seal them! – Sealing the vents isn’t for keeping bad air out of the room. Rather, it’s to keep Springtrap out of your office (he’s decidedly more deadly than bad air, anyway). If you see him in the vents while flipping around your cameras, seal the vent as quickly as possible.
  • If your feed goes wonky, it means Springtrap is moving to a new room – Your camera feed is static-filled at best, but if things go completely offline for a few seconds, it means Springtrap has moved to a new location.

  • If Springtrap is staring at you from the doorway, stare back and hope for the best – Despite your best efforts, Springtrap may reach you. If you see him peering around the doorway, there’s nothing you can do except stand still. If you’re lucky, you may hit 6 a.m. before the ventilation fails and you black out. Don’t turn away or put up your monitor, or he’ll move in for the kill immediately.
  • Don’t be psyched out by jump scares – Unlike previous Five Nights at Freddy’s games, not all the jump scares are deadly this time around. Only Springtrap has the power to kill you directly; the other scares are hallucinations. If you fall victim to a fake scare, keep your wits about you.
  • If Chica, the Puppet, or Balloon Boy appear in your camera view, quickly change cameras before lowering the monitor – Sometimes when you’re flipping through your cameras, you may spot the phantoms of the animatronics from the previous Five Nights at Freddy’s games. If you don’t act, you may trigger their related jump scares. Balloon Boy’s face appears in the camera; Chica’s face appears on the arcade machine screen, and the Puppet appears in the hallway. If you see any of them, quickly change your camera view before lowering your monitor. There’s a chance you’ll disable the jump scare before it happens.
  • If Foxy or Freddy appear in your office, quickly raise one of the monitors – By contrast, disabling Freddy and Foxy’s jump scares requires you to raise one of your monitors at the right time. If you see Freddy’s shadow moving outside your window, raise your monitor before he finishes walking across it. If you see Foxy standing in your office, flip up your screen as quickly as possible.

  • Jump scares disable the ventilation – If you’re taken in by a jump scare, the ventilation systems will immediately fail. Reboot them before you black out.
  • Select “reboot all” if more than one system is down – It takes about five seconds to reboot each system individually, and eight seconds to fix them via the “reboot all” option. If more than one system is down, “reboot all” is your best option.
  • The minigames in between each night offers clues on how to get the good ending – The arcade-style minigames that appear after each night offer more than story exposition. They also offer clues on how to access hidden minigames that are an important step to getting the game’s good ending:
    • “BBdbclick” – Double-click Balloon Boy on camera 8 to access his minigame.
    • Lit-up squares – Refers to the sequence of buttons you need to push on the arcade machine to access Mange’s minigame. Go to the arcade machine on camera 7, and click the buttons in the following sequence: Upper-left, lower-left, upper-right, lower-right.
    • The four cupcakes – Look for and click on the cupcakes on cameras 2, 3, 4, and 6 to access Chica’s minigame.
    • String of numbers – In your office, there are nine tiles in between Bonnie’s guitar prop and the wastebasket. Think of the nine tiles as a number / telephone pad and push the tiles in this order: 3, 9, 5, 2, 4, and 8. This lets you access Freddy’s minigame.
    • Shadow Bonnie – On night five, you should see a Shadow Bonnie doll on the far right side of your desk. Click on it to access Shadow Bonnie’s minigame.
