It’s a bit of a slim week for new iPhone and iPad game releases – but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few bits of gold showing up in the pan.

We’ll have a full rundown of tonight’s new releases on Thursday morning, but if you can’t wait that long and want to know what to download when the App Store gets some fresh jams at the end of the day, know that these four new iOS games are well on our radar.

Alto’s Adventure

Snowboarding is hard work. Herding while snowboarding? You’ve got to think that’s downright impossible. But in Alto’s Adventure, that’s what you’re tasked to do. Recover your lost llamas as you hit the slopes Ski Safari style, with gorgeous visuals and a day/night cycle that will leave you breathless.

The Outcast: Episode 1

Here’s a neat release that might seem familiar to some of you. The Outcast originally launched back in August 2014, and since that time it’s undergone a fairly sophisticated revamp. Described as a “passive adventure game,” The Outcast brings a new twist to narrative gaming: making a single choice doesn’t necessarily result in single possible outcome. Tonight in a major update, players will be treated to the first of several planned episodes for the game that, we’re told, will “take players months to unravel.”

Swap Heroes 2

When the original Swap Heroes launched only last October, we were impressed with its unique mix of puzzle and RPG. Now, only four months later, Swap Heroes 2 is upon us. Could there be enough new in that span of time to warrant a fresh purchase? With 8 new heroes, 20 new enemies, and a host of other tweaks, developer Savory Games hopes you’ll think so.

Regular Show – Grudgeball: Enter the Chaosphere

Cartoon Network mobile games are an interesting mix. If you’re a fan of Regular Show, tonight you have a chance to bring your favorite cast of characters to the Terrordome Chaosphere for a little 3-on-3 sport ball… OF DEATH! (I assume.. I mean, maybe there’s iced tea and lemon squares after).
