Like a viking’s journey across a frozen tundra, The Banner Saga took a mighty long time to cross from┬ádesktop to mobile. 10 months, in fact. But do you really mind waiting when it’s for a game that’s this good?

In case you’re too lazy to read our The Banner Saga review, let me give you the reader’s digest version: it’s a turn-based strategy RPG set in the world of vikings, blending in an epic narrative and choice-based gameplay that actually matters; one wrong story decision and you might lose your favorite fighters for good.

It’s gorgeous, it’s addictive, it’s well-told, and it’s only the first chapter. If you haven’t had a chance to experience The Banner Saga before, be sure to do it now.

The Banner Saga is available on the App Store for $9.99.
