Ingress hurts my brain a little. It’s a location-based augmented reality game developed by Google’s Niantic Labs, and… I just don’t get it. I’ve tried to get it. I love the idea of walking around my neighborhood while enjoying its gameplay, but the magic and mechanics of Ingress have managed to elude me.

And I get the feeling I’m not alone. That’s probably why Google just released this video. It manages to clear up a lot.

After watching the above, I’m inclined to give Ingress another shot. If you feel the same (or just haven’t checked it out for yourself), you can pick up Ingress on Google Play and the App Store for free.
