We may have teased a few of today’s big releases last night, but nothing can prepare you for the onslaught of new games that is APP STORE THURSDAY!

A few big names, a few surprises, a few hidden gems, and some that remain a mystery even to Gamezebo. If you’re itchin’ for a bunch of games to play between this Thursday and next, here are the 12 we have our eyes on:

Crazy Taxi: City Rush

Screenshots_iPad_NoHUD_03A much-beloved arcade franchise gets a second chance at the App Store today, and this time it’s been made from the ground up with mobile in mind. There are some tweaks that might seem surprising at first, but they all work wonders for the quick-play nature of mobile games. Definitely worth a download.

Angels In The Sky

screen1136x1136[1]Dogfighting, but not the kind that’ll land you a spot on the Philadelphia Eagles. Built in Unreal 4, this one is your eye-candy pick of the week.

80 Days

screen1136x1136[1]A new game from the developers who ported Steve Jackson’s Sorcery? Yes please! Gamebooks are always a treat, and inkle’s are quickly proving to be the best of the bunch.

X-Wing Wars

screen1136x1136[2]It’s Flappy Bird with an X-Wing! Quick, grab it before Disney has it pulled!

LEGO Friends

screen1136x1136[1]Ports of popular LEGO games have been a big hit on the App Store, so it’s no surprise that this previously 3DS-exclusive game has made its way to mobile. My seven year old daughter plays it, and when I asked her what I should tell you, she said ” It’s AMAZING! But really hard too.” That’s seven for you.

Micromon

screen1136x1136[1]It’s Pokemon on your iPhone! For real this time. We think.

Blood Bowl

screen1024x1024[1]A mix of fantasy role playing and American Football, Blood Bowl has been enjoyed on tabletops for decades. It’s seen some success on desktops and consoles, and now it’s making it’s way to your iPad.

Stik

screen1136x1136[2]This is one of those rare games that actually evolves what it saw in Flappy Bird rather than cloning it. We’ve played a few levels, and I can comfortably say it offers up a unique challenge. You’ll guide a constantly-growing stick by changing its direction. Picking up white dots will cause it to shrink, so you’ll be on the hunt for those.

High Five HERO!

screen1136x1136[1]Confession time: I don’t know the first damned thing about this game. But I like smiles and I like high fives, and High Five HERO! looks to have plenty of both.

Epic Skater

screen1136x1136[1]It feels like I’ve been waiting my whole life for a game like OlliOlli to hit the iPhone. I have no idea if this is it, but with Kongregate publishing, I have faith that it’ll be worth a look regardless.

Deep Loot

screen1136x1136[1]We’re going on a treasure hunt! An underwater treasure hunt!

Tank Biathlon

screen1136x1136[1]Another World of Tanks clone? Nope! Tank Biathlon is a single player game inspired by an actual military sport that takes place in Russia.
